Promoting Racial Unity

A great martial arts master once said, “The world doesn’t change for anybody. I don’t care if you are a woman, I don’t care if you’re a baby. The world doesn’t change.”

The Master I speak of is Steven Segal. He is an actor and whether you you know it or not, he is a man of great wisdom. The truth is, is the world truly doesn’t change for anyone. I would like to introduce those of you unfamiliar with the Japanese art of Aikido to one of its’ most important concepts; the concept of the circle.

All I see in the media are people fighting against what they oppose. These people hate Bush, these people hate democrats and these other people hate Americans, etc. The list goes on and on and on.
The techniques used by the majority are known in Aikido as “square” techniques. Meeting force head on with a more vicious opinion. Sometimes you’ll see a “triangular” technique where one group is setup and flanked from the rear or side, taking advantage of your oppositions ‘ lack of intuition.
You will rarely ever see the most powerful and useful of all these concepts– the circle.

Become your opponent, use their energy against them. This is actually a weak example of what circularity is. It is much more than that; it is actually nothing. This can be difficult to understand from a western mindset. The reason why is because it is not something one can understand. Are you thoroughly confused? Well don’t worry because this is far beyond the scope of this discussion. Go to you tube and type in Morihei Ueshiba and witness for yourself who in my opinion was the greatest martial artist who ever lived. Go read some books about him if you wish, as you will learn much. He was the greatest because of what his art (he was the founder of Aikido) is about– peaceful resolution of conflict.

Instead of all of fighting against what we oppose we should promote what is good! Do you understand what I am saying? Imagine billions of dollars spent promoting world unity and the entire human race as one people. This is a circular technique. This is true power. If you do not see that then you do not understand my point. I will end here as the point has been made and is plain and simple. It is also powerful; more powerful than any bomb or gun or hate group.
It is all about LOVE!

What Is Web 2.0?

What exactly is web 2.0? Some say it’s something that doesn’t deserve a title and some say it is a glimpse of a new highly evolved social based internet. What I have seen so far is basically a collection of programs I believe will eventually be the “new” internet. With blogging, social bookmarking and sites like Myspace and Delicious becoming so popular it’s only logical that this will be the substance of what is to come. It seems that now a lot of people are less interested in privacy and more interested in sharing and openness. This is a reflection of how many people feel about sexuality (acceptance of all people for who they are) which is prevalent today. I think this is great because we should all accept each other and I believe if it goes the way I think it will, it will bring us all closer together as one people. Ah, what a nice thought; all of us as one people. I am all for embracing all of human kind no matter your color or creed, because we really are after all one beautiful spectrum of life. Maybe I see the internet in a naive way but I pray it does help bring all of mankind together and rid the world of that nasty disease– racism.

The entire web 2.0 directory can be found here: http://www.go2web20.net/
There is also a fantastic blog about it that can be found here: Go2Web2
Go2web2 is a great, very useful blog that was really my introduction to web 2.0. So go check it out and you’ll see a glimpse of the internet’s future!!!

Until next time, Bobby Revell

My BloodRed

This is one of my favorite poems I created several years ago. Red, scarlet, crimson and all permutations wherein are brilliant and wondrous. It’s the most intense of all colors and is exciting. It’s shade has many meanings; physical attraction, power, radiance and intense love or desire. I am strangely intoxicated by red and attracted to it. I know not why, but I think it is in a primordial sense, completely natural. I hope you enjoy it and experience the brilliance of this most potent color.

I walk by unnoticed
an odorless fume thickly moistened
swept by crisp breeze
into endless horizons

Sun frosted was my deceptive soul face
concealing my blistered mind
beneath its gnarled husk
wisdoms eight sides

Blood tears cry my deliquescent vision
my soul flesh stained, my colour engraved
casting blood shadows
under moonlight black
engrafted in vermilion

My burning red heart
my blood red
I burn in my tinctured scarlet
razor shredded
my life pigment
my beautiful crimson
I am forever my beloved red

A stain it is not
its saturation deep
its fibers woven tightly
its truth permanent
of itself permeated
beyond blood
beyond bone
beyond death

I paint my mood of totality
just the shade of perfection
a texture of sweetened ripe
the shade of my absolute
my blood red
my lovely blood red

Awakening

My mind, the empty shell of a memory long forgotten
empty traces of nothing
looking back at my self through a thousand blinded eyes
gazing through a mirror of unseen reflections
looking back from nowhere

Ashes of what never was remain but a figment
of silent whispers never heard
in unfallen snow I leave no footprints
a scentless mist cloaked in obscurity

I hide in the shadows of a future unlived
only to find a past that never was
I fall like rain from the birth of my creator
frozen in my endless always

I flow in tears from the eyes of my destroyer
dripping through the seams of my secret place
quenching thirsty mouths, parched in the desert
of unremembered nowheres

I thrive in endless memories of lives long past
each erased from an empty page
torn by virgin hands from the diary of no one

A thousand writhing witch tongues
pleasuring skins of unborn souls
all forgotten by emptiness

I sleep awake
imprisoned by boundless waves of silence
I melt from reality
born as a vapour
exhaled from secrecy

Blogging Personal Demons

Like a lot of Americans I feel swept up in the worlds problems and am confused and upset with our politics. My father served in the United States Army and retired a soldier of the utmost honor. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and passed away several years ago. The cancer was caused by his exposure to agent orange in the Vietnam war. Months after his death, my mother received a check for $250.00 and a letter of apology from the U.S. government. Wow, talk about a slap in the face. We weren’t expecting any money and I wish they hadn’t sent anything.

Today when I watch the news I can’t even begin to piece together all the ridiculous aspects of politics fed to us by the different biased networks. It hurts to watch and I feel like an idiot to think about who I’ll vote for. I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent person and I have studied the philosophies of many cultures. So I ask myself why am I so confused and dismayed about all this stuff? I wish I had the answer as I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way. I am not a very politically driven person and I sometimes don’t watch or read any news for weeks at a time.
I think that it is more important now to live the days I have trying to be happy and doing what I love because I don’t know that I will always be able to.

One of my favorite authors, Carlos Castaneda wrote some of the most enlightening words ever written. He said that mankind has four natural enemies:

  1. the fear of death (must be overcome to become enlightened)
  2. clarity (seeing all things for what they are)
  3. power (the most dangerous of the four)
  4. old age (the final enemy, which I hope we live to face)

I often wonder which stage of philosophical development our world leaders have conquered.
Having said this I would like to point out some other blogs that have helped me get my mind off of the worlds problems and enjoy some nice things in life.

The first is Kerala Articles, especially the articles by Biby Cletus. This is all about India and all the beautiful and wonderful aspects of their culture. It is filled with great articles and incredibly beautiful photography. All I can say is that it is fantastic!

The second is Wannabewino which is a “wine and cheese” blog. I found this blog fun to read and filled with ideas for anyone wanting to add some zest to their lives. The writing is great and filled with personality from author Sonadora. This is one of the most refreshing writers in the blog world!

The next is The Ranting Willow which is an introspective blog from a very introspective lady,
Ranting Willow. I like this blog because I look inside almost obsessively to understand myself and the world. The author is extremely intelligent and a great writer. I told her that she really needs to write a book. It is beautifully written and sometimes dark but very honest and poetic.

I know a lot my writing is dark (especially my poetry) , but I just wanted to share something bright in this life of mine with anyone who will listen. Do yourself a favor and check out some of this fine writing. I hope you enjoy it!

We Must Keep Our Guns

If guns become illegal I’ll be dead because thats the only way you’ll get mine. I always hear, “If they didn’t have guns nobody would have been killed.”
If guns are made illegal here’s a list of other items that should be also:

  • gasoline (I could soak you down)
  • matches (and scorch your bones)
  • baseball bats
  • shovels
  • knives
  • pencils and pens
  • cars

If some lunatic wants you dead a shovel could turn your skull into cerebellum lasagna. He could then dig a hole and bury you; guns can’t do all of that! We have to remove all pencils and pens from all schools and go back to finger painting. If guns are gone then other items will rise in popularity.

If alcohol were illegal you would see the most fiendish addicts every where making crack heads
look like pillars of society. I met an older very religious man who is against guns in society.
This same guy said, “You can’t trust a man with long hair or a beard!” and turned up a pint of corn whiskey, then saying “and those dope smoking scum bags, everywhere you look!”

I told him, “Yeah, Jesus and Abraham Lincoln sure were some low down thugs!”
Of course he was my employer and I was immediately fired and escorted off premises
by gun toting security guards!!!! As I was being walked out I yelled, “And Jesus smoked weed and hashish too!!!”
Thats probably why those upstanding guards beat the hell out of me. It’s a world of insane stupidity!

Another Great Hacking Lessons Blog

There is so much information out there that it’s hard to learn exactly what it is you are supposed to learn. I will say that no real hacker is going to use windows to hack with, though guys tell me all the time that they do. Eventually you find out that they think hacking is downloading a crack code from astakiller and not getting a virus! Go to the link below if you want great advice on this subject. I recommend learning Linux or BSD and supporting open source software, because one day they might try to take it away from us.

About Microsoft Windows: I did say you can’t really use windows to hack with, but that does not mean that you shouldn’t learn it. A hacker (a real hacker) knows more about windows than most Microsoft certified database engineers. They know EVERYTHING about windows! So learn windows and Linux and use an Apple machine too if you can afford one. The most important thing I ever learned was that you cannot hack without learning to program! I am just trying to help steer anybody who will listen in the right direction.

To those wanting to learn to hack, there are no short cuts. Read and learn.

Crypt of Suffocation

Thickened wedge splices my exit
plugs my ears
sucks my air

Tight slug wrenched into my opening
can’t get around it
airtight, unventilated
chamber of death
airless asphyxiation
shredding my legs into bloodstrips
when I try to walk
filling my lungs with black fire
when I try to breathe

I die in pain every time I awaken
before I utter a single word
my throat sliced deep with razor
killing me only to die
in my scarlet blood pool

my final sanctuary of dreams
where I could forget
now, filled with hellish visions of hatred
stealing the last of what was mine
left alone with myself once more
