Your writing can be dark and brutal, but you have a positive vibe. I think writers of anything morbid, violent, gory or really weird are misunderstood. I had a woman tell me, "You write all this sick stuff because you're filled with negativity and it will eat you up inside."

I laughed because it's fiction and has nothing to do with me as a person. I usually find dark writing humorous! This is such a simple little poem, but it did come from the heart.

Oh yeah, I can't write specifically in one genre, so I don't think about it. I just write by instinct.

I have to say that after reading your fiction, I was highly curious to click something titled as "Always in My Heart" and you know, you really pulled this off! I love the "ocean mist weaving through her hair" and "hearts as embers of an ancient fire," wonderful description.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, my influences seem a little conflicting, I think I'm still struggling to settle into the right genre/style.

I've never been to a writers group but I would've been very uncomfortable in that situation, too. I think that plots can be reused, as every writer approaches it differently and with unique writing styles. You must've been annoyed.

I love that your the first person to associate my writing with words like "bright" and "positivity!" Nice work with “Crypt of Suffocation” and “My Blood Red” – "burn in my tinctured scarlet, razor shredded" – simply memorable!

Yes, we can think what we want but I guess actions do speak louder than words.

Thank you Tammy, it always makes me smile when someone reads my poetry. I do feel the same in the sense that I am and have always been a hopeless romantic

As I was reading this I was wondering to myself if you still felt the same. I went on to read the comments. This is a beautiful poem.

My grandmother was a writer and I have found myself over the last couple of days drifting around to different sites of those that enjoy sharing wonderful words such as this.

Thanks for reading my poetry Lulu! I wrote this for my ex a few years ago. If I fall in love, I get really inspired to write this type of poetry
