I was a moderator on PsiPog.net's forum for a while, and a lot of people there were into monitoring and interacting with what we called the subconscious. This entailed essentially monitoring your thoughts, much like you describe in the last part of your post. I've had a little practice, and occasionally will catch myself thinking something. I still need to work on it though. I think it is a great goal to work towards.

-Hatter

Thanks Anastasia, it means a lot to me that you read this. I've experienced many lucid dreams and there is a connection to this concept. The 3rd part coming soon will get into the heart of my ideas. I would love to hear some feedback on it from you. You are highly intellectual. Thank you

Perhaps detachment can be gauged in the dream state, or in a state of lucid dreaming, but it would depend on the dream, but there are dreams where one can feel separate from the world (within the dream). It's hard to comprehend or explain the sensation, I sometimes called it a suspended state, as though I'd hover, without bias or deep thought, like a vessel, absorbing the contents around me, but not creating what psychology refers to as schemas, the types that are created by each second during the wakeful/conscious state.
