Rain of Love

ligtningx.JPG

I have had this repeating dream for several nights and upon awakening I feel like I was in a real place, but it is just a dream. I walk through what seems an ancient city filled with beautiful marble sculptures, cobblestone streets but completely empty. I walk along reflecting all the failed love I have experienced throughout my years on this wondrous planet.

I look across a majestic horizon of tangerine skies and pink clouds while a beautiful thunderstorm approaches dividing the sky in half. I inhale the distinct scent of jasmine in the air and feel the rumbling screams of thunder from the east. A drizzle of sweet rain begins to fall, and I see her standing there. She is an absolute vision of beauty. The kind of of beauty and sweetness that would drop any man to his knees.

She stares into me so deeply I feel weakened, but dare not turn away. She already knows the intense love I have for her and now, I feel the love from her pour into me as we both face each other, trembling. She takes my hand placing it on her tender cheek, and I am lost in her eyes.

Lightning strikes the ground all around us, it’s tentacles form a kaleidoscopic shield, protecting rather than harming. We embrace each other in an inferno of explosive love. I am lost in her delicious scent, and dreamy stare. We kiss, melting into eachother.

That’s when I awaken. I usually try to fall back asleep hoping for a continuation but it doesn’t happen. I feel a little embarrassed to share this with everyone but I am always telling other bloggers to let it all hang out, so I must practice what I preach. I wrote this three days ago, but because I have had the exact same dream, I had to go ahead and post it. I have never had a repeating dream before; I hope this one never ends:)

Blogging: Integrity and Passion

zbadd.JPG

It has been a week of much realization for me. There seems to be such a huge flood of new bloggers everywhere I look. I want to discuss some things I find missing from so many blogs and apparently, lives. I rant often about money blogs and I want to point out that I am not against them. I just don’t like the particular ones without substance that are basically copies of more successful blogs.

The motivation behind this website is two-fold: 1.There are about 70 million blogs out there and it’s a difficult task to find the best posts written. Technorati only helps in identifying top 100 blogs and these blogs grow more and more. But, how about others? Wouldn’t it be useful if you can find posts that have been already reviewed and voted for? 2. If you write a good post, how do you increase it’s visibility? Is it enough to depend on Google/Technorati search?” Read more

New Blogger Wisdom

Here’s my advice for new as well as some older bloggers.

  • If you’ve never blogged, don’t worry at all what your blog is about. Just read other blogs, make friends and write whatever. It takes time to learn what you want to write about.
  • The most important thing to do is read and comment on other blogs. Don’t comment on 50 different blogs, pick 10 and comment daily. You can start without a blog for a month. Then tell your 10 friends your ready. You’ll have 10 readers. If anyone says this isn’t the best way, they are wrong. This is the only way. It’s impossible to know everybody that come by. As you get better, you’ll find ways to be friends with bloggers you never read. Thats weird but true. Some people help the distressed with their blog. They may not read yours regularly, but they migrate where they are needed. That’s how it is.
  • After you start your blog, join Technorati. Don’t be a Technorati snob like some people who have 3000 fans but only have 7 favourites of other blogs. I see these guys with shallow, refabricated, stolen and rediculous content; and they try to look like other authors!!! If you dress like another blogger, etc. – you are a ridiculous moron:) If you are faved by someone, then fave them! Check once or twice a week and keep it straight.
  • Don’t be a dork copycat. If you write a money blog then chances are you copied John Chow’s blogroll. I’ve seen tons of people who have 0 readers, 0 comments and yet they only have the most famous rich bloggers on their link list. That is really ridiculous. Most of the big money bloggers have terrible, boring blogs. Most of them arent bloggers. They are rich guys who happen to have a blog! My friend Mike mentioned how he hated a sports car header. If I see a guy next to a red sports car on the header, I can’t click away fast enough!
  • THE BIGGEST MOST IMPORTANT RULE – Be you. Try to find you. Never try to do anything like someone else.
  • How to gain true, faithful readers: Here is the only way- Go read a regular set of blogs. Comment at least once every time you visit. Don’t worry about writing, just read and comment. Make sure they know you well and expect you. If they arent reading yours by then, ask them to read! Ask bloggers you know to write a comment for them. They will. Don’t ask strangers to come comment. They usually never will. Make friends. There are bloggers with thousands of friends who actually don’t read them. Some guys comment only on rich bloggers, as if to leave their handprints on the sidewalk in Hollywood. Those aren’t friends or good bloggers.
  • Always help others and have fun. If you have a great idea, don’t be greedy, share it. Friends make great ideas better.
  • Buy your own domain before you start blogging. You”ll be grateful in the long run. Have a lot of diversity in what you read. Before blogging I had never met anyone from Malaysia. Now, I have more than ten Malaysian friends! Stick with your blogging buddies through thick and thin.
  • There is no better advice than this, if there were, I’d have written it here. Lots of folks say the same things I’m saying. They are right.

Also, please don’t take offense like I think I’m the only person with the answers. It’s just that if you are are a real beginner, you probably don’t even know what Technorati is yet. There is lots of good advice everywhere, but as a beginner you should limit yourself to really just reading and commenting. This will give you a great headstart:)

I’m Interviewed By Toby

Mike from Ordinary Folk, tagged me to be interviewed. The meme originated from the Brown Baron. I thought this sounded fun, especially because I have a split personality disorder. It seems that I’ve been giving lots of interviews, so now I become the much deserved recipient of one. Today, I will be interviewed by Toby, the parasitic troll that lives deep within my medulla oblongata. To some, it seems I am interviewing myself, but Toby is real; I have pictures.Toby: Hi Bobby! Do you love me?

Bobby: Shut up Toby, We’re on TV.

Toby: Why do you wear designer boxers?

Bobby: Because those tight briefs cause impotency.

Toby: What is the best way to gain readers?

Bobby: You get off your lazy ass and go make friends. You comment on their blog until they notice you. Then, if you’re nice and write cool stuff, they’ll start reading yours.

Toby: Is having a lot of subscribers important to you?

Bobby: No. I subscribe to over 200 blogs in my google reader, but never use it. If I read someone’s blog, I actually go to their site and read it there. I want them to see that I was there. I don’t subscribe to comments either because I go back to their blog again to see how they responded. If someone reads my blog only from a subscription, then I don’t know if they read it or not. I only subscribe to be nice.

Toby: What’s the dumbest article you’ve ever read?

Bobby: That one where some guy reads 500 posts a day in his google reader. I’m unsure of the actual number but that is truly stupid. He said he was so good at it, he could scan through dozens of posts and his mind would capture anything pertinent. That’s not reading, thats being a cold, impersonal blogger. That’s why I don’t read his blog, whoever he is. The people that follow that rationale aren’t friends, they’re vultures.

Toby: Do you have a bad crush on a female blogger?

Bobby: Shut up Toby, we’re on TV.

Toby: I love you Bobby:)

Bobby: I love you too Toby:)

I always have a hard time choosing people to tag, so if you are tagged and you don’t want to do it, then our friendship is finished! Just kidding, I’ll still like you the same and I really don’t care if you do it or not. I did have fun writing this though, it made me feel very happy:) Those tagged are: Joey Anastasia Blionky HollyGL

The Ladies of WGM

So far I’ve done three Interviews with three fantastic ladies of the blogosphere. It has been Incredible so far:)

I want to say thanks to all three for helping me create a unique part of history in the blog world. I believe the Woman: God’s Masterpiece blog to be very special. There may be other blogs that come along with more money and paid writers, but none will capture the real friendships and heartfelt joy experienced by the ladies or myself. It has truly been an experience to remember:)

Revellian: My Eight Random Facts

Amber and Lynda both tagged me very recently to disclose 8 random facts about myself. I don’t do a lot of memes but I always wanted to reveal these facts:)

Here are the rules:

  • Players start with 8 random facts about themselves.
  • Those who are tagged should post these rules and their 8 random facts.
  • Players should tag 8 other people and notify them that they have been tagged.

1. My name really isn’t Bobby. My name is Ernie Spunkmeyer. I am a thirteen yearold boy who loves chit-chatting with beautiful online women.

2. The first woman I ever french kissed was an American Indian squaw named Mahgoo. She weighed 400 pounds and had rotten teeth. We made quite a ruckus in her tepee.

3. I am illiterate. I dictated this to my secretary (a blind 73 yearold sex threapist whom I am having a torrid affair with).

4. I once shot a man for laughing at me. I feel guilty now because it turns out, he wasn’t laughing, he was choking on a piece of steak.

5. When I was eight, I was hired as Richard Gere’s gerbil boy. Hey, I know it’s sick, but I wore a blindfold and $400.00 per hour isn’t bad money.

6. I was recently diagnosed with 31 severe mental disorders.

7. I slept with 9 of my eigth grade female school teachers and they all still remain out of jail.

8. All of the above facts are completely fabricated lies.

Enough of the funny stuff. Here are my real eight facts:

1. I have almost been married 5 times.

2. One woman I was engaged to hardly ever called me. I was always the one calling her. One day I stopped calling her and I have never heard from her again. It turns out she was somebody using a fake name. She was killed in a car accident and that’s why I never heard from her.

3. I love super hot spicy food!

4. I have a black belt in four different martial arts and I love to box.

5. When I was thirteen, I freaked my parents out by questioning my catholic religion. I read at least 50 books on all religions and became a Taoist.

6. I think Jessica Alba is the most beautiful woman actress.

7. My favourite authors are H.P. Lovecraft and Clive Barker.

8. Intelligent female bloggers turn me on.

The 8 bloggers I tagged [I guess the ones who have already been tagged by someone else and responded don't have to respond and neither is it incumbent upon others tagged by me... feel free to ignore ;) ]

  1. Andrea
  2. John
  3. Rachel
  4. Randy
  5. Jeanchia
  6. Vinceleste
  7. Sonadora
  8. Willow

Please dont just read, leave a comment. I will respond to whatever you have to say. I will also come to your blog and leave comments. To me, comments make the blog world go round:)
