Blogging: Integrity and Passion

zbadd.JPG

It has been a week of much realization for me. There seems to be such a huge flood of new bloggers everywhere I look. I want to discuss some things I find missing from so many blogs and apparently, lives. I rant often about money blogs and I want to point out that I am not against them. I just don’t like the particular ones without substance that are basically copies of more successful blogs.

Money: Money means absolutely nothing to me and it never will. Though I need this little piece of paper that represents value, it represents monetary value, not human value. It takes a person of great integrity to understand the value of money and the difference between it, and the value we put on our lives, families and friends. I would gladly give up everything I own for my family or friends and I have done it before. My mother and I literally lost everything we had when my father passed away. I had $27,000 in my savings account and gave all of it to my Mother in our very rough time following his death. The US government sent my mother a check for two-hundred or so dollars for my father’s passing. He died of cancer caused by agent orange used in the Vietnam war. The money I gave up? I would gladly do it again. We all need money to live in this world, but never let it replace your integrity and values.

Passion: Passion in a very female trait. This world seems to be run by by many passionless men and always has been. I have written much on all these subjects before and will continue for as long as I’m alive. Passion is what makes great artists great. Passion is what ignites the flames of real love. Passion is what you feel when you experience the joys in life. I am very passionate about everything I do in life and without it, I wouldn’t truly be alive. When you write your next post, find something that you feel passionate about and let it pour onto the page. Surprise your readers with an outpouring of emotion and don’t be afraid to let them see the real you. To all men readers: Passion as I have said is a female trait. Remember always that a real man embraces his female qualities and proudly lets the world know just how passionate he is about everything in his life.

Integrity: Integrity doesn’t just mean that you adhere to a moral code or system of values. I also refers to being whole or complete. Without integrity we are incomplete human beings. It is the glue that connects the sum of all our parts. When you blog, find your integrity and let it be the glue that binds what you write into the very fiber if your existence. Integrity seems to be a rare commodity in this world of greed and cheapened values. It is also about respect. Live for what is worth living for, and die for what is worth dying for. Most of all, live for this very moment and find the beauty of having integrity and passion in everything you do. All I can say after reading that is “AMEN”…great post!

Andrea, with all the fluff and filler on so many blogs, I feel compelled to give lessons that we should have learned as children. Thank you for the Amen:)

    Well said, Bobby.

On money, I’ve been fortunate to have never been lacking it: I’ve never been swimming in it, but neither have I been penniless. I’m thankful that the pursuit of wealth is not, and will never be, an objective of mine. I’ve experienced firsthand how an unhealthy focus on wealth and status warps a person’s priorities and corrupts relationships; and I see a similar corruption on all those money blogs, ugh!

I don’t know if I’d agree with passion being a female trait. Perhaps females are less reluctant to let the passion flow?

Ah, integrity… one of the many reasons I finally quit my job… it was either be true to myself and quit, or continue to be upwardly mobile but turn into someone I was not.

Anyhooo… thanks for sharing, it’s a great read, and I hope many of your readers stop and reflect on your message.

    cheers,
    ~willow~

Willow: Fortunately, I know first hand what it is like to literally have nothing and have been extremely poor unable to eat but once a week with only the love of family to pull me through. Perhaps that’s why I have no love for an inanimate little piece of paper. This little piece of paper has corrupted the hearts and values of people on every part of Earth and makes them feel above others, which is why I am above money, not below what it can do.

“a real man embraces his female qualities and proudly lets the world know just how passionate he is about everything in his life”

This so defines you, as seen in your many passionately written posts here and in WGM, excellent!

    Another great post, Bobby.

So much so, that it inspired a post of my own on passion ans passionless men in today’s society.

If you get a free moment, I’d appreciate your thoughts on it.

What plan? I call it the art of planning without planning! I will tell you now it is based on mass public mind control technologies.

  22. Wonder Woman on July 8th, 2007 4:55 pm

Pure genius rarely requires a plan. It has a way of prompting things to fall into place. All part of ripping this place a new asshole- no doubt!

Wonderful article and I agree wholeheartedly. How many people manage to achieve this state of being in our modern world though. Living for the day and enjoying it with passion was a hard, long lesson to learn for me. (I hope I always had the integrity).

  24. Revellian on July 12th, 2007 8:50 pm

Sue Blimely  : People think that state of behavour is the old days. It’s just the best way to be!

Great post. I got alot out of this and was just getting ready to quote you when I got some information about someone who was blogging who had absolutely NO integrity - stealing posts - and the two subjects fit right in with each other - sort of.

Thanks, I appreciate real integrity anywhere I can find it.

    Peace, love and understanding.
