Ok, for those of you who don’t know anything and never read tech blogs because their too technical. You don’t understand feeds and are lost. Welcome home. The first thing to do is join Technorati and Feedburner. Read about and know your Feedburner feed url. Mine is

http://feeds.feedburner.com/Revellian
On Mybloglog you need to enter it in as the full feed url of your site. Actually, it is the permanent url to your feed.

To read and your feed join Bloglines It’s fast and works great. Must have! Also join Delicious It is a bookmarking site. HERE’S the deal. You need 3 things to make you a viralfriend and evolve with the web not just watching it go by. You need a Viral Tags Post. A feedburner Feed Post and a Technorati fave post. These posts aren’t trains, they’re viral matrices. Trains go by, these stay. These are posts you should maintain regularly.

If you are new here, Welcome to our Viral-Friend subculture. It is the golden age of the links, or linking to another is how you give link love. Everyone I know living virally are worth knowing. Society’s perception of viral links varies widely but it has become something else entirely. Don’t fear the viral link, embrace it. It forces us to work together, for eachother thus uniting us in peace. While governments plot wars the people living there are all of our friends. I know people from every place on Earth, and I have no enemies.

So, Lets link and Feed and Fave

Walks Far Woman: No problem! Really it’s not that much. What’s important is using and having fun with these programs and ideas. Join Delicious and get the toolbar for your browser. Make it the way you mark all sites, etc. Let me know any problems

I still don’t quite understand how to get Feed Burner…could you talk me through it? Thanks.

  12. Revellian on July 25th, 2007 4:07 am

Janice: Ok! I looked at your site and I see you have the feedburner latest posts widget displayed in your sidebar! Good. When someone clicks it they are brought to the url of your feed which is
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/janiceng
they can subscribe on this page. I see you have 23 readers already!
I use BLOGLINES to subscribe to people’s feedburner feeds. Feedburner burns the feed and I use bloglines to read them. Maybe this isn’t the answer you need though. I’ll go through whatever your problem is. I’m coming

hi bobby, i’ve registered for delicious months back, but it says i must d/load the toolbar, right?

  14. Revellian on July 25th, 2007 4:23 am

I use firefox as my browser and installed in firefox addons an extension called Delicious Bookmarks1.2.29
If you’re using IE you should just install the toolbar. A lot of people save bookmarks in their browser as a favourite, etc. and they don’t realize that saving them to delicious is better. In your feedburner account under options make sure to activate SmartFeed and
FeedFlare. Also LinkSplicer using Delicious as your option to display a link to your bookmarks and delicious is now burned as a feed and listed like a post

Hi Bobby, I see you don’t have enough comment love here too. So how about I give you some..
Btw, sorry to bug u again but what do u mean by “Feedburner burns the feed and I use bloglines to read them”. Where do u read them? Don’t get mad with my incessant questioning, remember…it’s all part of the comment love! LOL :)

  16. Revellian on July 25th, 2007 5:30 am

Mariuca: Think of it like this- Feedburner is like a printing press for your feed. When I click your feedburner widget on your site I am taken to
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/Mariuca
this is like an order form for your feed. I select bloglines. Then in bloglines which is prompting me to subscribe to you - I click subscribe and now I can read your feed. I could’ve used google reader instead but Bloglines is the best feed reader. So, feedburner burns the feed, then your feed reader (bloglines hopefully) is what you use to read your feeds. Sometimes I surf the web using only bloglines- it gives you a new view of the web. It’s ok u know I love questions

  17. Janice on July 25th, 2007 7:32 am

Bobby, I’m done with the feedburner as you can see now. Bloglines & delicious also subscribed. How to read blogs from bloglines? I have to go & fav all the blogs that I like is it? How to pull out those delicious links so that reader could bookmark them on my blog? Thanks

  18. Revellian on July 25th, 2007 7:35 am

Hi Janice: In your feedburner account, under options activate linksplicer. It’ll ask which service to add, select delicious and put in your username. Save. Now when your feeds are burned your delicious bookmarks will now be promoted in your feed!

  19. Mariuca on July 25th, 2007 9:03 am

Hello boss! Thanks for the reply. So are u saying that I have to join this Bloglines first? I hope my questions are not too silly for you
Am trying to put up Jean’s moo post on my perfume blog, but am encountering probs as we speak!

  20. Revellian on July 25th, 2007 9:04 am

Hi Mariuca: I put up Jeans moo post too but I changed it. If you add tht new people to your new adds part of the train, that’ll be the only 6 people that subscribe to you. John cow didn’t invent the train. I made mine like a viral list. Now to get everyone to subscribe, you have to go ask all of them to add you to their list. Most are doing it like a train - not effective. On my feed train you were one of my new adds for your main blog:) Bloglines is a way to read feeds. Use it if u want, also if subscribing to feeds.

  21. Jean on July 25th, 2007 10:13 am

ok, bobby! i’ve registered bloglines too when u recommended it to me few days back. So, what’s the use of delicious if i can view feeds from bloglines. Delicious toolbar is like bookmarking right?

  22. Revellian on July 25th, 2007 11:12 am

Hi Jean: Delicious is part of what they refer to as web2.0
The purpose of using it is that it is used by millions and it is a way to share your bookmarks with others. I bookmark most of my own posts with it and friends posts to take advantage of it because it is extra promotion for you and what you like! Bloglines is simply a way to read feeds. They both serve different purposes but are for promotion.

  23. Janice on July 25th, 2007 8:10 pm

Bobby : Thanks for answering. I will activate the linksplicer right away…. Zoooooooom…… :)

  24. Revellian on July 25th, 2007 8:11 pm

Janice: Yes, and it’s easy to do

  25. Janice on July 25th, 2007 8:15 pm

Its me again…. I’ve activated the Linksplicer. Saw somewhere you mentioned about the feedflare. May I know which feed service I should select. What does personal feedflare url mean? Is it our blog url?

  26. Revellian on July 26th, 2007 8:15 am

    refer to my post http://revellian.com/2007/07/12/revellian-feedburned-tech-lessons/
to show you what to select. Personal feedflare url, don’t worry about it, it’s for extra services

  27. Janice on July 29th, 2007 10:34 pm

    Bobby, DONE :) :)

  28. Revellian on July 29th, 2007 10:36 pm
