Still I Wonder

I see your face in the silken waves of a summer shower
perfumed mist her scented warmth her lovely breeze
as only I dream what it must be like
a kiss so tender, so pure to love her I will never know
Her sweet skin into which I melt
cinnamon eyes into which I stare and still I will never know
Thunder! run for shelter! my footing lost and I fall
Lightning! come with us they cry
I lie face down on searing streets
her aroma of still lingers
my storm floods cities taking lives
Please they scream
do not stay
I remain behind
drowning in tears wishing that I could be loved
but alone I am washed away
I only wonder if I were ever in her dreams
stranded forever within my heart
as forever I will love her and still I dream still I wonder
what heaven must be like to stare into her eyes. . .

That was absolutely excellent Bobby! Your writing style is quite similar to mine. Great intensity. Great imagery. And a strong connection to the things most take for granted. Thank you for sharing that.
    Shine on,
    Aaron

Aaron: It was something I had to write. It’s the only way I know to make myself feel better. Thank you:smile

Bobby, rarely have I come across a man who openly expresses his feelings in such a touching way. It’s a privilege to peek inside your soul - yet sad that there’s nothing I can do or say to make it better except - I hope it’s not too long before that someone special you’re thinking of opens her eyes. x

Walks Far Woman: That makes me feel so good tonight (morning for me as I’m a night person). I have to tell you that in my experience most women I have dated, been in relationships with, etc have left me in favour of a very unromantic guy who doesn’t ravish them the way I do. The love of my life who cheated on me, I cooked dinner for her every night though we both worked full time and I was home first. I gave her a foot massage sometimes 3-4 times a day and I loved her so much. I did too much for her I think sometimes. But she is now with a chump. He does makes over 300,000 dollars a year and that is the one thing I couldn’t give her. Now she has the money, but I say, where’s the love? I want love, thats all. Real, true love. I will find it (I better or I will go insane LOL) Thank you

Amber: Thank you  I was beginning to wonder if I had written a useless poem that had no substance. This is somewhere around my 700th poem! Gee, that’s a lot huh? Thanks for your vote of confidence. I really poured my soul into this piece and actually cried while writing it. So there is definetly some heart in this and is expressed to the best of my ability. Thank you
