I see so many new bloggers and many newly aware bloggers are being feeling a lack of purpose. Don’t compare yourselves to the experts hunting a niche and being taught to be lost followers. I am beginning to hate the word niche.
Many mega-blogs with 20,000+ subscribers are boring and there are too many. And I am not talking about Andy Beard’s Niche Marketing blog Andy is a nice guy who converses with his readers and has personality. I have had a lot of feedback from newbies everywhere as they let me know that my advice was meaningful and heartfelt. It’s too bad for blogs who ignore the little people out here.
New bloggers are a “investment” link. Sure they maybe unranked newbies, but if 40 unranked newbies I link to and inspire to grow – and become friends, they may be the ignored superstars you so greedily missed out on. While so many seek to be associated with the big blogs like envious sheep, I ignore most of them and seek where the real power is; the mass public of novices.
If we all follow the experts advice, there will remain a small group of leaders and a massive group of followers. Why do we let a small percentage of people run things? Turn around! The millions of people who could easily, with team work, drop that group with a mouse click and take over!
Whats more important? Making cash and reading 50,000 ways to do it, or, making integrity, friendliness and peace the most desired attribute to all humans. If money is more important than intelligent human values to you, you need to do some deep soul searching.
My good friend Jeanchia from A Great Pleasure hit the Technorati top 10k today! She also made her first $20.00 from payperpost. She is a fine example of what I always talk about. We are part of a new breed of peronal, busines, tech tips or whatever all mixed up into a multi-genre blogger. She will continue success and get there because of being a good, caring person. Wow, imagine that. If you see my point, then you must know it is the most important single idea to blog about and help perpetuate. This is of a higher, more meaningful purpose than all others combined.

I love her catch phrase!!!!! It’s her blog and she is gaining success without ever listening to any expert! Go Jean!
My new friends of the multi purpose hybrid blog:
NAFASG – United And Dedicated Behind You
(Discussion topics covered are General Issues, Life, Relationships, The Supernatural,Magic Love Spells Building Self-Confidence, How To Get What You Want In Life, Money Making Techniques.. etc.).
They dedicated a post, Blogging Etiquettes to me and my best friends today! The post is an example of what big blogs should doing. NAFASG has made real friends and it’s freaking cool to see it happen! Their blog is constantly evolving, and the direction they’re headed is beautiful. Thanks Nafa!!!
I was awarded this from Mike & Tish of BlogsWeLuv.com
Thank you very much!!!
My friend Forumer from Feedget wrote this, The Truth About Blogger which I never thanked him enough for. He sees the light! Not my light, he see THE light. Thank you very much! It means a lot to me!!
I need help, and I’m not here to help myself. I am here to help those who need help! I will gladly pay back twice any links I get to this post. This message needs to resonate loudly. A special thanks to these folks for being friends:
and of course Brown Baron, Jesse the Cat and AmberVinci
I am so busy I haven’t seen all my friends lately. I feel sad about it but I never forget.
I will see you all
Steve Olsen wrote a post that really effected me. It was the perfect post for me to read at just the right moment. Go read it and read the comments. What is discussed is of the utmost importance. A great article. It is: Is Morality Relative?
My friend Amber from the blog Random Magus wrote a post called Judge Not? That I found very thought provoking. Check it out!
My friends at Project Heavy Traffic have cause to celebrate! They were also nice enough to refer to this post. Thanks PHT! Read it here!

I learn the technical stuff about blogging from you Bobby – don’t know much about Technorati or ranking and stuff. For me my blog and my regular readers are so much more than I ever expected and it really gladdens my heart to have found people who care enough to stop and leave a piece of themselves on my blog!

Great post! I agree with you 100% because I fall in the area in between newbie and experienced and I can only hope to get to the top 10k at Technorati. Suggestions are always welcome!

You deserve that award, buddy. Glad you liked it
I agree with you as well about the whole niche thing. While I do believe having a niche you can solidly place your blog into can have some advantages, it’s also a bit overrated sometimes. I have a blog that most definitely does not have a niche and I’ll probably find myself in the Top 1k of Technorati sometime next month. You never know what I might post about next. I’m a pretty random guy and people actually seem to enjoy that. I’d really have a hard time conforming to any certain niche. It’s just not my style =)

I know for a fact I gain a lot less readers and possibly links by not aiming for new bloggers, but my primary target for my blog was to demonstrate to some extent authority in the subjects I discuss.
When I started there wasn’t really that many blogs out there that covered the more technical aspects, and a lot of the blogs you describe that didn’t offer convincing opinion.

Every comment, every link, is a potential bridge between two people, two countries, and two souls. No matter where you are in the world, or what your culture is, a single link or comment can seal a friendship.
Blogging is my way of finding my lost relatives, that’s you guys. Anything after that is gravy.
Thanks Bobby, I loved this post.

Hi Amber, I am trying to bring human values and heart into the areas that have neither. It’s not even about the technical, the tips etc are a tactic I use to disarm the coldness and condescending mask our leaders and businesses display – so maybe they can feel, love and become better human beings. Also to show people who are good, like you, some things that will help more people come together and all meet in the middle somewhere. Thanks for coming by today! I will have a lot to read when I come by. See you soon

Mike:Thanks! The pioneers of the niche like Andy have developed a sophisticated, intuitive science. But now there are so many “experts” saying the word, new people arent ready yet. You have a nicheless niche! If a 1000 blogs operate on clockwork, that only guarantees your market. Wherever the crowd goes an opposite vacancy is created. You can’t have light without dark! We all offer our own way, but being genuinely passionate with it will make you liked more and more. The few big bloggers who have taken the time for me have gained my loyalty! Andy, Dosh Dosh, Kassper and some others have talked to me, that makes them much cooler in my book! You’re going to be a legend Mike. And you’ll be an ordinary legend – wow, what a great thing

Andy: Your blog has a real niche and you definetly are an authority. My evolving niche is to bridge unsure newbies and more advanced blogs so the two will join. Their are many experts, some have endless content, some have less but make the experience more enjoyable. I hate to hear a green pea newbie get upset trying to find a niche. We all are honing our niche. The niche is more of a process and concept than a final perfect “this is it” I’m more of a philosopher and psychological coach. I cant show the technical, but show how to decide for yourself and believe in yourself as a person – then blogging challenges are fun not scary. I used your do follow instructions yesterday! all the things you show, can be used for things other than money. The applications are endless. Any newbies thirsty for detail, I will send to you

http://revellian.com/2007/08/09/newbie-blogging-crucial-choices-and-trackbacks-2/
Go watch the video I refer to. I often add new trackbacks to older posts as I find related articles while surfing. If you cannot successfully do a trackback let me know. You link to the permalink of a post. Then get that post’s trackback url.
paste it into the trackback textbox in your posts text editor and publish. The video shows every step and is extremely well done. The author uses very good blogging etiquette also which is what makes it the best I’ve seen
