My thoughts on the matter are this. I think in life peacefulness and happiness are key. Having an ego definitely disrupts this delicate balance. If you can be humble, peaceful and w/o an ego, I think you're able to see things clearly and for what they are - even if it may take some time to get to the truth. Tremendous post.
