I received an e-mail from Yaro Starak from Blog Mastermind the other day about the new Blogrush widget. The widget itself is from Internet marketing mega-star, John Reese. This widget all by itself will increase web site traffic.
I was apprehensive at first thinking I would be taken to a page asking me to fork out some big dollars for it! I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that it is free, at least for now. The idea that a simple widget can boost traffic sounds great to me! Anything I can do to boost traffic without extra work will always be cool in my book.
Look in my sidebar and you can see the new Blogrush widget. It looks nice and if this thing can boost my traffic I will be a happy camper. I invited some people already and at least one I know of has joined. That is my good friend Rolando from R Playground (thanks Rolando, and thanks Morgan)!
If you would like to join in on this thing while it is BRAND NEW and hasn’t yet saturated the blogosphere, now is the time to act! Don’t wait for three weeks and then decide, do it now. If you do join, write a post also, like this one. To join in on this latest rage and increase web site traffic:
Click here: GET THE BLOGRUSH WIDGET
You could also get it from Rolando or Morgan! Anyone who joins within our group will get a nice link to both your site and blogrush post!
Beaman from Beaman’s World has a post up BlogRush.
Please, if you do link to this post, use the anchor text: increase web site traffic.

Hey Bobby this is your technologically challenged friend dropping by to say hello.
By the way i tried to visit Rolando’s blog yesterday and today, after his visit to my blog but got this message
Unable to contact the Server. Are outbound connections disabled? (If a proxy is required for outbound traffic, you may configure the honey pot to use a proxy. For instructions, visit http://www.projecthoneypot.org/settings_help.php)

I random, thanks for letting now about the access issue. I looked at Honey Pot’s script but I am not sure what my proxy host and port are.
I’ll have to contact my web host and find out.
Thanks!

Well Random, I found some information on the web, but not a whole lot. I updated a file per Honey Pot’s instructions, but not sure if it is correction.
When you get a chance come on by again and see if you get the same error message.

Yup Yup .. Bobby.. I was only stating the truth. What you recommend, I would follow for sure. FYI, my widget is also up on my WL site already.
Have a Good Day Bobby!

I signed up. Thanks for the tip. It doesn’t seem to be accepting the fact that I’ve added the widget to my blog yet but probably just a temporary tech problem.

Hello Bobby, I also joined up with Blogrush! Rolando sent me an invite and I have put the widget in, I must still do a post about it, I am a bit behind with everything as over the weekend my isp was basically offline most of the time.I missed all my friends, like you and Rolando and the Girls…but at least I have a whole bunch of cool posts to catch up with!!
Thanks as well for your great comment on my post regarding Chad Mueller.
Happy day and a happy week ahead for you, Bobby! Dont eat too many yummy pizza’s…least of all without sharing

Hi Bobby…
U are so resourceful. Thanks for this piece of info! It’s so amazing to know how a simple widget can make a difference to your traffic.
And it is surely smart of u to find ways to increase traffic while sipping a cup of coffee.

Hey Bobby. Normally I try to keep my widgets down to the bare minimum, but this one looks real interesting. I’ve gone ahead and placed the widget on my blog, but nothing of note as of yet. I also received an email stating that the creators did not expect the ‘explosive growth’ (does everyone use that buzzword phrase?) they received and the site is really bogged down.
My thinking here is more towards finding some new people to read more than promoting myself. Like you always say, it’s about community, right?

It works! If you go to my site right now you will see a link to Jesse’s site and the post that it pulled in is ‘Monday-funday’ under Jesse Blogs It All. Woot.
I’d do a write up on it later and provide a screen shot.

Since installing the BR widget three days ago, it seems to be working. Once John Reese bring it up to speed, it may an awesome traffic generator. I noticed my RSS feed has more readers. I’ve got an idea how this thing can be optimize. I’ll be writing about it soon. Keep trekking!

Beaman: Thanks! I do not believe the makers of the widget expected the success they have gained. They knew it would be big, but perhaps 100 times the response is much bigger than they could possibly anticipated! I’ll use it for now and see how it affects things. Here in a few weeks, every blog will have one

Jesse: Thanks! Wow, I wish you had a better ISP! I am lucky to have a really good one here and rarely ever have any problems. I of course will share my pizza with you

Nafa: We will see! I’ll be watching my traffic closely. The way I see it, if people don’t use the widget to look at sites, it won’t do anything

Seiche:I’ll wait and see! I will tell you this: If I don’t get a noticeable increase in traffic within 1 month, I will be the first one to remove the widget and write a article about how it sucks, ha ha ha. I am about to write a nasty article about E-zine.org for publishing a bunch of lies in a post. They have ignored my e-mails for 18 days, and I will not hold back

Jason: Yes. I’m not so sure how beneficial this thing will actually be. It seems like another control tool for the bigger blogs to keep the majority on the bottom. The truth is, most people will have this thing on their site but will never actually click on it. If it doesn’t help me, I will remove it

Kamy: Hi Kamy, yeah, I think I’m starting to think the same thing. The marketing plan is freaking incredible. I just haven’t seen a single bit of traffic and I have at least 50 people signed up under me.

Emila: That is up to you. In your blogrush account, they give you your affiliate link url. If you write a post use anchor text like “join up here” and link that text with your affiliate url. Then of course in your BRush account you can invite others you know don’t have it yet to join under you.
So far, it hasn’t done a thing for me so we’ll have to wait and see. I just don’t like advertising a bunch of sites I have never heard of, which it seems, is all I have seen listed in the widget. It can’t hurt to have it, but how much it’ll help remains to be seen!
