Hello Bobby,

I am so behind on writing to people and responding. I hope people understand we care about them and sometimes just get busy with other opportunities or challenges...whatever people want to call those things that come up.

I am happy to hear you are doing better. I have been praying for you. You are unique and care about people and I love that about you.

Your Friend,

Viv

One possible Fair playing field solution for Search Engines, Part 1

Every Blog, Forum, or Web-site is no different than a Book! Some sites are short stories and others are novels!

Every time a person is searching for a book at the Library, they either search by the Title or Author. The Web can use a similar level playing field that has worked for Libraries over the past 131 years called the Dewey Decimal System.

Some will say doesn't the Web do this with .edu, .gov, .com, .net, .org, etc? And to some extent that might be true, yet let's examine the keyword "lighthouse" in a search engine with the expectation of only receiving only sites writing about physical Lighthouses with a beacon in the Lantern Room. Unfortunately, everyone who uses the term "lighthouse" in their business title is included. At the head of the class at Google is "Lighthouse International" (http://www.lighthouse.org/), a organization dedicated to preserving vision. A great cause yet, this is not what we expected to be in first place unless our search was for a Vision Lighthouse!

@Debbie Dolphin: I love tough questions! I must admit it was the toughest one I have ever received. I will come visit you today.

There is never too long a comment for this blog. Something that large could be divided into two comments though!

Sorry, Bob! I missed your feedback comment to my comment on Oct 4th. I scrolled to your answer to Dawn and thought your "tough question on a fair system" was an answer to both Dawn and me.

I hope I didn't put on the spot to answer about Google? Yet, is good to know how we all experience the Web whether it is a good or bad experience. I placed Adsense on my Blog only as a service to my readers fully expecting to receive little or no pay for doing so. I have been burned by a few online money scams!

There are also other simple solutions to create a fair field for everyone which may not be perfect but hopefully a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, the explanation is over 400 words which may be too long to post in a comment?

@Lisa C: I post what comes out naturally. I usually just start typing with no plan or idea and it becomes what it becomes. I do take somethings into account when writing for this blog though. I try not to use curse words though I do have 1 post which does have them.

I don't write, I let it write itself if that makes any sense! Thanks Lisa!!!! I believe as long as you are honest with yourself, your writing will be just fine!

Bobby, do you ever not write from your heart? I don't believe you can. And, I don't believe you will for the sake of others.

One thing I took from this post was the importance of remaining true to yourself in what you write. I don't ever want to get to a place where I am pondering and stressing over what to write because of what my readers will think and say. Everything we write is not for everyone and knowing that allows me to write and post freely.

Now, I'm going over to check out Christy because I like what she had to say and Maurica since she was the one who encouraged you!

Viviana: Hi Viv! The secret to getting the most from this or any meme is to visit all the sites on your list. If your post links are not listed on them, leave them a comment asking to be added on. Just leave them 1 link to your post and they will copy the links and add it to theirs.

I am not generous enough Viv. Anything I receive, I'll try to give someone else even more. Thanks Viv! Have a great weekend!

Hi Bobby,

You are such a kind generous person. You have become a special friend. I would not have made it as far as I have on technorati, if it wasn't for you:) You are just generous to everyone, I hope to pay it forward.

You are always in my prayers and will always be special in my eyes and heart. May God give you more a million times over

@WaterLearner: That's right Karen. Being yourself and writing good articles is always the best thing. We shouldn't have bad ratings and low pagerank on purpose though!
