Love Yourself Love Humanity
My Contribution To the Blogging For Friendship Writing Project
The Storm Has Passed
For the first time in my entire life, I am not depressed. This may not sound like much of an accomplishment to you, but after hating myself for years, it is nothing less than astonishing to me. No longer do I blame the wicked clouds of bad luck which seemed to shadow every aspect of my being.
The storms of misery have subsided and I have learned to love myself. I have spent more time in solitude over the past year than anytime in my life. Somewhere in the loneliness, I found myself. I have never had a problem understanding who I am, it is the love which was missing.
Earlier, we learned that our good friend Janice’s brother had passed away. I have never felt sadness like this from knowing a person on line. It shows us how caring about our fellow bloggers is a beautiful thing.
Continents Divide - Nationalism Divides Even More
I have almost died more than once. From Hurricane Katrina to hitting a telephone pole at over 70 MPH and coming out unscathed has been a gift. I’ve lost most of my family and most of my lifelong friends. I have almost starved to death and died of dehydration.
At one point, I lost everything I owned (twice) and have almost lost my will to live. Basically, I have been through hell. Going through these ordeals has forced me to find the true essence of who I am. I am an individual.
I have reached a point in my life where I see things in purity. I have spiritual clarity. This means that I am now, truly a beginner in life and am truly here to live and learn. Having said that, what I see going on in this world is disturbing.
I believe that nationalism is going to be the downfall of humankind unless something is done. All I see are countries striving for independence and wars still going on. I am disappointed in America and many other nations. How can I be an individual on this planet, if I am an American?
Humankind fight like animals and people side with different groups. Why does one continent starve, while others blossom? In places where people have food, there are a small group of individuals with all the money.
There should be a limit on how large a corporation can grow. Technically, Google is not a monopoly. They are too large and they are destroying the chances for individuals to be successful. Thus we have this paradox of reality. There seemingly must be one absolute controlling force behind every nation, every company, every city.
Are we really individuals? It is inevitable that we eventually will have a one world government. People are scared of this idea! Why would it be worse than being controlled by a smaller government? We are separated geographically. Both nationalism and religion divide us even further.
I believe that if we come together as one human race under one democracy by the people for the people, we will make war a memory. I see the big picture. There will and must always be government. We are too animal like to live completely free without constraints. There must be enforced rules.
It will be under one government, that all humans will finally be individuals. I am proud to be a human being from the planet Earth! There will always be corruption, crime and hatred. Removing more and more reasons for hatred will give us all one less reason to hate. There is plenty enough food to feed all people. Still, millions die of starvation.
Some think this is a natural and necessary concept to keep the balance of life and death healthy. It is the “ecosystem” of human life. It is not. It will be what destroys us all. It is time for human kind to come together and forget our differences. These differences have been killing us. What I propose hasn’t been tried.
I also believe that as long as money is the guiding force of humanity, we come closer and closer to our own demise. Have you noticed that I never use the word “mankind”? This is because it leaves out women. Therefore I use the word, humankind.
I believe that an intelligent woman would make a better choice as a leader in any government because women tend to be better leaders naturally. Women tend to talk things through rather than resorting to violence. Think about it.
We must join as one race for the betterment of humankind. Blogging is how we start.

Peace n how do you do Bobby? I hope u are always doin great. And i feel sorry too for Janice. May she will be more patient of that life test. Everybody will face death sooner or later, we cannot run and hide from that. Everybody will return to our Creator, our God, depends on bad or good we are in this temporary world.
For me, no matter how, bad things will always occur in this planet, because there are also satans that live with us and induce us to do bad thiings that we’re not realise of it. And we as a human being too follow our lust and desire until not thinking of others suffer and so on. Greedy, ego, free sex, uncontrol anger, jealousy, and so on will not make us all unite.
That’s why the important thing is , be good as we can and find the true path to our creator. These will all give us peace in mind and miss our God and want to meet Him someday. This is only temporary world, the most important is world after life. There we can know who will suffer because of sin and who will live in happiness forever without a single trouble.
Like what Allah told, there will be no hungriness, no pain, when we eat then there is no shi*, all foods that we ate will be a sweat that has a good fragrance and so on, Isn’t that nice compare with living in this world that full of trouble and hatred?

May God gives us guidance and bless us all. Peace and justice for all
p/s: sorry for bad english
Bobby dear… I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been through so much. Yet in a strange way I’m happy. What doesn’t break you makes you stronger doesn’t it. If all that didn’t happen you would be the man you are today. I’m so happy that you’ve survive that a stronger person.
You’re right. The world is so divided… in so many ways. So many innocent people going through hell and they’re helpless.
Thank you for that very inspirational post Bobby. I’ll write mine… soonnn…
Bobo’s last blog post..For Janice
Here are my thoughts on the subject. I think one of the biggest, if not the biggest problem I can see with the Human race is that most people are motivated by self-interest. Until people learn to take their focus off of themselves (and you better believe people will want a list of good reasons why they should) I don’t see us moving forward as a race.
Dawn’s last blog post..Short Story - Roaches and Roses
Hi Forumer! The one thing we all face is death! I just try to spread as much goodwill as I can while I’m here. Maybe I’m wasting my time. I feel it’s my duty to help others and to spread love, not war. Thanks Forumer
Hi Bobo! I have definetly been through a lot and am very lucky to be here. I’m just happy to meet people from all over the world, it’s such a great thing! Thanks Bobo, I look forward to reading it! I may not publish the list of all participants until Friday or Saturday!
Self-interest and money is what drives most Americans. I maybe wasting my time promoting goodwill and I have lost a lot of readers who don’t care about goodwill. I will still write about it even if nobody reads it. I cannot look at things negatively because that’s not a part of my life anymore. I was once the most pessimistic person and I became tired of being negative!
We don’t live in different countries, we’re just on different islands. We have one language, that’s the one that comes from the heart. Now we just need to remember that.Brown Baron’s last blog post..StumbleUpon Invades Major Search Engines
Hi Brown Baron! What a great way to say it! As hard as I am on Google I want you to know that I do not hate them. I actually feel bad for saying things about them but there are things I wish they would change. No matter what I say, I personally couldn’t write a better algorithm. I’m done with saying anything negative about them. Instead, I will do what I do best, promote positivism.
Thank you for being a true friend.
Very powerful first couple sentences. I love hearing about people overcoming depression or other things that plague their soul. Nice to hear you love yourself again, and sometimes saying it or typing it helps reaffirm the process. As for a woman leading the country…looks like its going to happen. Not sure if any Republican can match her in the polls.
Hi Matthew! I don’t know if I consider Hillary to be a good candidate because I don’t vote for democrats or republicans. I usually vote non-partisan.
Hi Bobby, what a great post! You are doing a great job in your mission to spread friendship and love, through this post and your site as well. Keep it up Bobby, your voice will be heard!

Hi Bobby! Great post! Thank you for sharing the story with us. You have been through a lot and I am glad you’re still alive and do what you do today. You’re a great person Bobby! Thank you for promoting goodwill and I love your using the word humankind and not leaving us women behind. Big hugs to you Bobby!

Thanks Emila! I believe I am here for a purpose. That purpose is to stand for what is right. YOU are a good person!
Hi Bobby! I’m glad that the battle within yourself is over and that love reign. With all the experience you’ve been through, you became a better person and more effective in promoting goodwill. I just hope other people who’s undergoing such ordeal within would find the same light as you did and rebuild themselves as a better person. I believe that no matter how bad things happened, it is not given to put us down but to raise us even higher, if only we would learn from it.
Have a nice day ahead!

Thank you Ruby! I struggle everyday to be a good person. I have changed my life completely from self loathing to self love. You have helped to brighten my day!
Hi Bobby,
Coming out of depression is absolutely a huge accomplishment. Anyone who says otherwise has never been through it and/or has zero compassion. Good mental health is a gift to ourselves and everyone around us. Congratulations. For years I pretended to be fine while I was going through major anxiety issues all the time. Once I took care of that it was like someone pulled me out from under a veil or something. Amazing what a couple of little pink pills can do for you and everyone around you, huh? I am proud of you for taking responsibility for your mental health - the world would be a much better place if everyone did that.
That said, your post is wonderful. I agree with so much of what you said and it truly touched me. When you are ready to spill it, I’d love to write your biography. =)
I’m looking forward to reading all the posts tomorrow!

Thanks Sara! I have never taken any medication for depression but have considered it many times. My sister is a psychologist and preaches “reality therapy”. I have learned to just BE HAPPY! A biography? Perhaps one day. If I do, I’ll certainly let you know! Thanks Sara!
I won’t publish it until Friday or Saturday as so many people are late!
I tried to do it with “reality,” but couldn’t seem to stop the anxiety by just being aware of it. Great job doing it med-free!
I think you’re going to have a great turnout for this group writing project. Very cool.

Thanks Sara! I certainly hope so. So far there aren’t that many posts up! That’s why I am waiting a few extra days!
This is a wonderful post for many reasons it’s wonderful that you are able to be open about the challenges you have faced in your past. I like to think that when we reveal our obstacles that we have encountered it has the potential of making others who hear or read about it realize that they aren’t alone and that others face challenges like themselves. I’ve shared obstacles I’ve faced on my blog and the results I have received via comments and emails have always been positive.
I still get emails from people who just happened upon a post that I created over a year ago. Yet another reason I check my emails, A lot of my silent readers contact me that way.

Thank you Opal! That’s exactly why I share my most challenging moments. I used to be ashamed of feeling depressed and thought I was, like many others do, the only one who had this problem. Getting it all out has helped me immensely.
Instead of shame, I am proud to share who I am with anyone!
Well I know it will work. It’s easier at times for people to get through their challenges if they know someone else is facing them also. This post has been stumbled.

Wonderful post. Thank you for the mention. I learn a lot of things from my brother’s illness all the way till his last breath. I can still rem vividly his experssion grasping for air in his last 3 breath. It was so sad. I have not felt so miserable my whole life. His fight for cancer was so strong & his determination for survival was so great that I admire him. He will always be my hero. My strength to live a long life now to take good care of my families & those around me. Life is really precious. Bobby, you are a great friend, I see that you have done a lot for friendship & your life journey. You have went through a lot too.
Hugs & love to my great friend, Bobby

Thanks Janice! I saw the same thing happen with my dad. We do have to move on as painful as it may be. None of us will live forever, so we have to live and love the best we can. It’s nice to have you back.
It’s not easy Janice, but try to stay strong, celebrate the good memories and don’t let the bad ones weigh heavy on you. You do have a friend in me and I expect to see you smiling and living the way your brother would want you too
