Burned To A Crisp
Have you suffered from blog burnout? I have been through it many times. Blogging is addictive, there is no doubt. Recently, I just got over a bad case of Page Rankophobia. Now that I no longer care whether or not I ever have rank, I feel so much better!
Award Psychoses
I have so many award posts to do, it has me extremely stressed out. I got behind on them a few months ago and I cannot seem to find the energy to look for every award I have received from everyone. I have to do my award posts a certain way or I get all freaked out.
I have to thank the person who gave it to me with a link to their homepage. Then I have to link to the exact post from which I received the award. Then I have to spend 15-20 minutes figuring out who to give that particular award to.
The cure I will use is simple. I will try to give an award out to a few people on every post I write. I am tired of feeling guilty over it. I always try to thank them by leaving a comment! It’s overwhelming sometimes. I feel better now because I will just hand ‘em out everyday! At least I’ll try to…LOL!!!!!
Revellian’s Blog Burnout Remedies (do not do these without supervision)
- Get drunk before you blog. This one is unsafe and may cause health problems.
- Slap yourself in the face 50-60 times or until your hands hurt. This one is unsafe also but works for me…he he:)
- Tell a married blogger that you’re in love with them. My all time favourite…LOL!!!!!
- Dance naked in public. This really gives you a feeling of freedom! Just make sure the cops don’t see you!
- Get in a street fight with 10 big construction workers. Again, very unsafe! All you have to do is call them sissies and they will gladly oblige you in a good whipping. Having the hell beat out of me always makes me feel refreshed.
- Pay to see a Blogger Psychologist and get it all out.
- Join Blogoholics Anonymous.
- Submerge yourself in a bathtub filled with ice water for ten minutes. This will chill the burn of burnout very quickly and shrivel up stuff.
- Get a good deep tissue massage.
- Go target shooting at a firing range. A great stress reliever!
- Set your computer on fire. All you need is a match and some charcoal lighter fuel.
- Cut down on sugar and coffee. This is actually my favourite and works wonders. Sugar and candy are REALLY bad for your health. Of course my tips are all jokes of course except this one and the one about a massage.
- Curse out a bill collector. This one REALLY works!
Ha ha ha…WOW! I feel better already! Ah…the joys of blogging:)

Hi Menopauseprincess! Ok, I know who bubbilicious is now! I personally think his site is just a bunch of keyword laden posts. He puts out a ton of posts everyday. He proves that QUANTITY regardless of quality is the best way to work Googles algorithm. I don’t read the site because there is no substance.
I could make a site just like his and I’ve thought about it many times. I just don’t think it is a good idea for me. He might get a million visitors a day but I will not be one of them! I read that article a few weeks ago. Honestly, Vic’s site is kind of a joke, but he is making money! I will make my money in other ways. I will probably stay poor because of my pride.
Court only gets 40,000 page views per month which is far from being considered an A-lister but he is an A-lister in my book! You really need 100,000 or more page views per month to get close to being an A-list blogger. I currently only get 15,000. My blog was born June 1st so I’m not doing too bad. I just don’t care about it any more. It is STRESSFUL fighting for attention. Bubbleman is making his money from PPP and Smorty.
Let me get a beer before I comment. Ok. Those tips are probably the best kept secrets haha. I’m sure they’re all highly effective too. A beer or two or three usually helps when you’re feeling anxious over your post.

Hi Menopauseprincess I could be wrong! I might be being hard on the guy. You really can’t argue with success. I do have to admit that the name of his site is great. You should read Court’s post on making money for beginners. It breaks it down in time frames. I can’t recall the exact title of the post but it’s easy to find on his site. I have yet to get into paid posts. I am hoping to have a little page rank soon so I can make more than $5.00 per post. I should be doing them now but I haven’t started yet because I’m neurotic…LOL!!!

Last year I had one of those bad Dells that burned themselves up with defective batteries. I can’t say that it was a pleasant experience although it did get me offline for a while.

The spanking at Google has ended. All the bad little blogs selling links, having text links have been punished, and now the quality ones are rewarded.

Theoretically it is an indicator of an individual page’s value (like your home page). Check out the site http://www.smartpagerank.com/
Basically it means your site is more important (hypothetically) and will be found 1st in searches over lower ranked sites.
Court’s site is a 4 like mine. He really deserves a 7. Google is leveling things for competition and giving newbies a chance.
If you start PPP or Smorty (as soon as you are able) you can make good money! Let me see if I can help you find something that you can do now to take advantage of your position!

I definitely could use the deep muscle massage - get rid of all the kinks from sitting hunched over the keyboard, day in, day out. Then follow that relaxation with some liquid refreshment - like maybe a nice cool draft if I had a keg set up. But since I don’t have that, will have to settle for a cold can of Coors Silver Bullet or one of my other favorite brands. (I’m not really THAT fussy over the brand -I can also enjoy a pounder of Busch light too!

I’ve had blogger burnout. I’ve always taken a break when that has happened.
Thanks for the award. It’s really appreciated. I’ll be passing it on to my blogging buddies.
I do think sites that weren’t bad were punished. My main website dropped to a 2. that’s a quality website. In fact all of my websites are. I do have a sponsor but I’m not taking it down. They are a good company. I got them on my own and they paid me well, also my readers use them. A few of my other blog buddies were hammered as well and they don’t have sponsors and they definitely don’t write reviews.
All my niche websites went up to a three with the exception of one. It is now a five. I still don’t like how the Big G operates. I only knew about the PR because a friend told me about my websites. I’m not dependent on the PR to make money you need that with Paid post companies. I rarely write for them. I know I can make more using other services.
You should check out Sponsored Reviews. Personally I like them much better than Pay Per Post or Smorty. The pay is usually higher and the advertiser has to choose you.
You should also check out affiliate marketing. I make more with them than I have with Adsense or the few paid posts I have done. Using Adsense I have made on average $60 a month. I made several hundred in one week with affiliate marketing. I use the businesses regularly that I’m affiliated with so I know they offer quality services at reasonable prices.

Yeah I remembered you mentioned that. That’s one of my big issues with the big G they have cut some people off without much of an explanation.
I’m still waiting on some of those scraper websites to get a cut in the rank. A friend told me my PR is back. I really don’t understand that.
In regards to Sponsored Reviews sell yourself in your title. I did that and the amount of reviews I received changed. I would mention your PR, Alexa Ranking, if you have done reviews even if they are personal reviews highlight them. If you need any other info send me an email.

Hi Opal! Some scraper sites are getting sophisticated. Some almost seem like a genuine blog! Google simply wants to be the talk of the town, in every town. I am really not too much into showing stats anyway. They are distracting!
Dawn’s site has taken off well! The blogosphere is different than 6 months ago. It’s a much better situation for new bloggers than just last year. I think that we are having an impact on the web and Google has noticed. Or maybe figuring out a way to capitalize on it!
