My New Site Launching Soon

First, I want to say that many of you have participated in the Blogging For Friendship Project recently and I am working on the posts now. I have some surprises for all of you. Also, my good friend Christy and I are definetly still friends :smile: I don’t like to have a woman upset with me! A man? Who cares…but a woman, no freaking way. :shock:

My New Site Launching Soon

I bought a domain specifically for earning money and ruthlessly salivating over every $2.83 monthly payment…ha ha ha! Honestly, I need a new pair of shoes really bad and a $750.00 SEO book…LOL!!!!

Trying to come up with a fresh name for a money blog isn’t easy, I mean there are people buying every domain name they can in that niche in hopes people will have to buy it from them because all the cool names are already used.

I was trying to think of something with the word monetize in it and I don’t know why. The suffix “zilla” is used on many sites like Mozilla, Filezilla, etc. This inspired me to come up with a very cool niche site name - Monetize + zilla = Monetizilla , using Godzilla as the Logo star. It will be Monetizilla Dot Com!

It will be no ordinary cash blog. It will be serious monetization training, advertising, paid reviews and satirical, “Pulp Fiction - Mad Magazine” articles and stories. I can’t reveal too much, but I assure you that I may be sued by some famous star for writing lurid tales about them.

I will also be having a contest very soon!!!!!! :mrgreen: Yay!!!!! I’ll give you some details now. I will be giving away a website created and hosted by me.     talking about the Blogging for frienship project, i felt so bad for still heve not get my hands on it yet. I am a lousy friend huh! :/ I will try to get on it asap ~ I am having some problem with my lappie, so that’s mean less time blogging at home. I only get to blog in the office.

    The decision to create Monetizilla is great! After reading the previous few entries, I can see the conflict of trying to balance the friends/business aspects of your blog. Personally, I’ve disabled Adblock since I started blogging, and knowing that the ads will help out a fellow blogger makes me feel like I’m contributing something, even if it is a simple ad impression.

    I was running Google ads for awhile, but they seemed to take over the entire site. After pulling them down, I was able to breathe and refocus on the original intent - to deliver quality images to my incredible audience (they rock!). Since stripping the ads, I’ve gone to affiliate ads, however, they are carefully chosen and things that I would speak highly of outside the blogosphere. Being an ad guy myself, I agree that it is difficult to push something you don’t believe in. But you have to find that balance and filter out the garbage. (Opal made a comment similar to this.)

    Keep on going ahead and doing your thing. You’re doing great. Can’t wait for the new site! :D

    Hey Pete!!! I will run adsense ans a few others on this site but I won’t be taking it to an extreme. To make money with a site, I believe the site must be run totally differently than a personal blog. There aren’t any normal personal blogs making any substantial money that I know of, but it is possible.

    I feel very relieved and I have been trying to come up with the right plan, but after this week’s drama, I feel I have something I can work with. I really listen to Opal because I know she knows a lot more about business than me and she tells you like it really is. I am so far behind reading other blogs, but I’m free and I’ll be by shortly :smile:
