Dying From a Broken Heart

I remember how beautiful it was, when I first began blogging, how eager and innocent my attitude was. I remember how it felt to make new friends and how joyous it all seemed. I was in such a lonely situation, having the love of my life leave me when I was just about to ask her to marry me.

In many ways, blogging saved me. I had new friends that listened to what I had to say. People actually cared that my life had been nearly destroyed. Most of my family is gone an so are most of my friends. I have been burned to a crisp by love and risen from the ashes time and time again.

There must come a point when a person can no longer rise, shouldn’t there? I often wonder why I am still here. There must be a reason, yet in my heart, I feel empty. I feel cold and alone. I feel like I no longer want to be in this life.

When growing up, I thought I would graduate from college, meet the girl of my dreams and live happily ever after. It didn’t work that way for me and for those of you that are lucky enough to have that kind of life, do not ever forget how fortunate you are.

That wondrous feeling I once had for blogging, much like my dreams of love, have wilted like petals from a dying flower. I got all caught up in the technical aspect of blogging and it has completely destroyed my drive to even read a single post. It has become a passionless chore for me to get up and write.

Can someone die from a broken heart? I don’t know, but it must surely be better than living with one. Many of you might not understand how hard it is to wake up everyday alone and know that when you go to sleep, you will go to sleep alone. It’s a feeling that I can no longer bear.

I don’t know if I will be back to ever write another post. I am so depressed and sad right now, I wish I could give you an answer. All I know is that this blog, which once meant so much to me, feels dead. I feel dead.

Some of you who know me well, know I suffer from depression. I have never hidden anything about myself from you. Right now, I am very sick, very scared and very empty. I love my friends very much. I wish I felt normal and happy, but I do not.

I constantly think of deleting this blog and lately when I write, it’s all I think about. I am truly sorry that I am telling you this. I hope I can feel better soon, but it is making me sick just writing this. I hope I feel better one day, but I do not think it will be soon. I just want this feeling to go away.

In the event that I do not return, I want to say, goodbye.

My New Site Launching Soon

First, I want to say that many of you have participated in the Blogging For Friendship Project recently and I am working on the posts now. I have some surprises for all of you. Also, my good friend Christy and I are definetly still friends  I don’t like to have a woman upset with me! A man? Who cares…but a woman, no freaking way.

My New Site Launching Soon

I bought a domain specifically for earning money and ruthlessly salivating over every $2.83 monthly payment…ha ha ha! Honestly, I need a new pair of shoes really bad and a $750.00 SEO book…LOL!!!!

Trying to come up with a fresh name for a money blog isn’t easy, I mean there are people buying every domain name they can in that niche in hopes people will have to buy it from them because all the cool names are already used.

I was trying to think of something with the word monetize in it and I don’t know why. The suffix “zilla” is used on many sites like Mozilla, Filezilla, etc. This inspired me to come up with a very cool niche site name – Monetize + zilla = Monetizilla , using Godzilla as the Logo star. It will be Monetizilla Dot Com!

It will be no ordinary cash blog. It will be serious monetization training, advertising, paid reviews and satirical, “Pulp Fiction – Mad Magazine” articles and stories. I can’t reveal too much, but I assure you that I may be sued by some famous star for writing lurid tales about them.

An Awesome Contest Coming Soon

I will also be having a contest very soon!!!!!! Yay!!!!! I’ll give you some details now. I will be giving away a website created and hosted by me. The winner will have to choose a domain name and buy it. What? The winner has to buy it? Yes, it is $10.00! The 1st year will be paid in full. It is a contest for those of you who may have a blogspot blog and want to go professional.

If you are interested in owning your own site and getting all the awesome features available only on a self hosted blog, don’t wait until it’s too late to buy the name you want. For many people, hosting themselves will be difficult. That’s where I can help. I will be providing weblog hosting to a lucky winner!

My host is BlueHost, one of the best available. When someone joins BlueHost by my referral, I make $65.00, which is a nice check for one referral. They charge $6.95 per month+ the $10.00 domain name registration. I paid mine all at once, which was $95.40.

If you join Blue Host with me as your referral, I will give you 1/2 of my commission which would be $32.50! That lets you buy and own your own site for only $62.90, that is the best deal you can get anywhere. This really pertains to people who will need help and coaching to learn how to operate a professional site.

I will help you go over everything. If you have a blogspot blog and want to move it without losing page rank, I’ll help you do that too. If you are thinking about that dream site, get it now, before your desired name is unavailable. Then, you will own it! You can spend a little time learning how it works before you actually start your new site, or move your old blog to it’s new home.

Without hosting yourself, you have no idea what you are missing. If you want to make money or would like the power of a wordpress blog, I am offering you a $32.50 savings and personal guidance forever. If you want to take a step forward and are ready for that next level, simply click the BlueHost banner below to sign up

An Apology To Christy and My Readers

Think Before You Speak

It seems my last post upset a few people and I never intended for anyone to take it personally. When I said that writing a paid review was basically being paid to lie, it’s just how I felt at the time and I was in no way judging anyone who writes them.

I often write from the perspective of devil’s advocate in order to incite discussion so that I and my readers can learn. My friend Christy from Christy’s Coffee Break voiced angst in her recent post Hurt Feelings – Some Christy Drama. I am really sorry Christy.

The truth is, I shouldn’t have said what I did in such an absolute, judgmental way. Some writers don’t reveal their highs an lows but I tend to write what I feel. Sometimes I have to get something off my chest so I can progress and learn something valuable.

I have been wanting to do something much more serious in blogging and have been evaluating options for months. I was extremely frustrated when I wrote that post and I did not hold back.

Lesson Learned

I have learned something. I wish I had learned it in another way, but it happened and now I must move forward. It really bothered me after writing my 1st paid post, that I was basically being told what to write. I don’t know why it got to me the way it did, but I knew I wanted to feel that what I was doing wasn’t wrong.

Writing paid posts is new to me and I take so much pride in what I write, I need to have some serious feedback to show me another perspective. Well Christy, you definitely gave me a different way of seeing things!

Some comments including Christy’s on my last post, Blogging For Money is a Dirty Job
shared the idea that if you pick what you really like and feel positive about, then you are giving an honest opinion.

I will take this lesson with me into the future as I write sponsored posts and I know that I shouldn’t be so hard on myself or others when I do. Whether I meant to upset anyone or not, I did. In the future when I am frustrated or angry, I will remember this incident so I don’t upset someone as nice as Christy.

Christy (and anyone else who might have been offended), I hope you’ll forgive me and I will definitely not forget what I’ve learned. I respect you and your work and I will use much more discretion when writing in the future.

Blogging For Money is a Dirty Job

Disgusted by Truth

So I started dabbling in this money thing with my blog and I have decided that I don’t like it. It happened Saturday Around 3:30 am. I saw the ads sitting there, like infectious blisters erupting from the face of my blog. I was overtaken by sickening chill, I fell onto the floor, unable to stand.

I managed to crawl into the bathroom where I pulled myself up from the shame, and there, looking back from my reflection – a stranger. As I gazed into the mirror, I heard that voice say, “What have you become? Look at yourself…is this who you are? You disgust me!”

The True Nature of Money

If I write some sort of sponsored review from any of the popular programs available, I am not writing my opinion, I am being paid to say whatever it is they want. To make $100,000 per month is a pipedream for sure, especially by using most of these services.

It should be against the law to use the phrase ‘paid opinion’ in any form of advertising. It is a reworded script, dictated by the rules of the company. Therefore, you are being paid to lie!

Ad Blending versus Ad hiding

I am not a business type of person but mostly because it’s so easy to see through the lies of most advertising. Whenever I try writing business information, trying to earn money, it makes me feel so dirty.

It makes me feel like garbage. I used to sell cars at one point in my life, and that was my real introduction to sales. No matter how many different car dealerships I worked at, one thing was true of them all. The number one salesman at each one was always the most cut throat, back stabbing and best liar!

Many popular ads have resorted to methods of ad blending; where the ad is placed on a page so as to make it appear not an ad, but part of the site. The trick is to deceive you into clicking ads accidentally. Look in my sidebar and you’ll see a perfect example of an ad disguising itself as a normal tag cloud (ad has been removed).

Google wants people to blend Adsense into their blogs, placing them strategically to increase the probability of a hit. Placing ads closely to commonly clicked normal links is the best location; doubling the chances of a hit.

Kontera and other types of contextual ads are camouflaged within the posts themselves. So I wonder, what is the difference between something hidden and something blended? Blended simply means it is trying to hide but is actually visible – and so it is legal.

Conclusion

I will leave up some ads to pay my bill for keeping this site going. I don’t like doing that, but I cannot afford to spend a lot of extra money. I will be starting other blogs to earn real money but not with this one.

Though I still feel violated and encrusted in filth, I must carry on with my blogging. It’s such a shame that things work the way they do, but I cannot let that get me down. The truth is, money and friendship do not mix :!:

Stay tuned to watch me battle myself in many future articles. Will I become BloggerX? Will I throw blogger X off a building watching him splatter on concrete? Will I wake up from this terrifying nightmare?!

Consistent Dynamic Blogging

The Unexpected Highs and Lows in Blogging

I think most of us remember what it was like before we started blogging. Do you remember? And then you started really getting into it, you couldn’t believe how much better it was than previous speculations. Whether you’re a beginner or pro, it is not easy to keep a blog going year round.

I am seeing many people blogging intensely for a while, but they crash soon after. There comes a point where for many of us, where it is obvious that we are blogging all day, everyday. You will either quit, or you’ll need to be making money to stay in it.

You don’t have to be a money blog to make money blogging

If you think about memes many of us have done, it is astonishing the amount of work we all put into it. Think about how many billions of linking pathways we have etched throughout the Internet!

If you have a personal blog, learning more about the technical side will actually help keep you from getting burned out. I will never be a true money blogger, but I will make a lot of money blogging! The money oriented, tech news and seo bloggers get burned out even more easily than personal bloggers because of the endless pace.

Sure you can cut down a little if needed, but I recommend that when burned out, to do something totally different with your blog. When you do, it will be a new thing and you’ll have a new interest!

  • The Blogger Who Lasts Is One Who Learns To Be Different Types of Bloggers
  • I think the modern blogger has to be more than one sided. Learn to do what you can’t.
  • Learn to be a money blogger. Learn to be a fun blogger. Learn to be a social blogger.
  • Don’t go overboard in one area, like 6 months of endless memes and awards. Stop, calm down, and put on your money making mask.
  • Write 2 posts per day for both PPP and Smorty until you get tired of it. Instead of quitting that altogether, take a full week to just read and comment on other blogs.

The point is to mix things up. I have found that changing gears suddenly, out of the blue. then doing something totally different is effective in keeping me interested.

I do think that the social network, Yuwie is a way that personal bloggers like most of you could easily make good money. It’s a social network that pays. If you approach Yuwie like a massive community meme, the money will be easy to make.

What I understand is that basically you sign up: Click Here To Join. Then you need to sign up 3 people. After that, you help each of the 3 people under you to sign up 3 people. If we can power a meme like a tidal wave, Yuwie will be easy!

Here’s a chart showing how this meme approach could work:

The chart below assumes you refer 3 people, and those 3 people refer 3,
then those refer 3, through 10 levels, and each referral gets 1000 page
views for the month, and the month’s RSR is $0.50.

LEVELS – REFERRALS – IMPRESSIONS – EARNINGS
1—————3—————3,000—————$0.15
2—————9—————9,000—————$0.45
3—————27————-27,000————–$0.54
4—————81————-81,000————–$1.62
5—————243———–243,000————-$4.86
6—————729———–729,000————-$14.58
7————–2,187——–2,187,000————-$43.74
8————–6,561——–6,561,000————-$328.05
9————-19,683——19,683,000————-$984.15
10————59,049——59,049,000————-$8,857.35

TOTAL——88,572 —–88,572,000————$10,235.49 every month!

1000 page views is not a lot. I just need 3 people to join under me. It is better to build deeply than just one layer. The network of people on yuwie are VERY HELPFUL! It’s all about being paid to make millions of friends.
