I kept thinking I had been blogging longer than a year…but I will reach my 1st blogging birthday in February!!!!! It seems like I’ve been blogging for 10 years!

Christmas is almost upon us and I want to share some things with you fine folks!!!

Three years ago when I had my legs amputated accidentally during a routine health check up at our local hospital, I had a dream of getting two prosthetic ones. I couldn’t afford them so I attempted to whittle two legs from a small pine tree. The first pair I made kept splintering during my morning runs.

The last time my wooden legs broke I was jogging near a bus filled with school children…my legs splintered apart and I fell in mud. The children laughed at me…calling me names. One little, freckle faced girl called me “stumpy” and threw a peanut butter sandwich from the bus window – it stuck on my face. The sound of their wicked laughs haunted my dreams for what seemed forever.

Luckily…a friend of mine made me two titanium leg stumps…with foot accessories!!! One of the attachments were pogo stick plug ins!!!! This allows me to hop around like a jack rabbit…those kids wont laugh at me now!!!! The only problem I have is when I jump too high. When I land…my glass eye pops out. I ended up losing 5 of them!!!! I finally switched off to using rubber feet instead of pogo sticks.

My left eye was poked out the third time I was kidnapped as a child…I’ll tell that story on another day…hahaha!!!

Last week, while doing some Christmas shopping, I saw that little freckle faced girl. She said, “Hi Stumpy!” tossing a big, juicy clump of bubble gum in my hair. She stood there with an evil smirk…taunting me, “Thanks for the necklace Stumpy!”

I couldn’t believe my glass eyes…they were threaded onto a gold chain…hanging around her neck. I started crying and turned to run home, falling flat on my face – her little brother had super-glued my rubber feet to the floor. They stood above me…laughing and laughing…I know not if I shall ever recover from this emotionally scarring incident.

Now that I’ve told my story…I could only think of one thing that would make me feel better. I wanted to tell all the following bloggers (though I’m sure I have inevitably left many people off this list…if I missed you, I apologize)

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
