I would consider alien abductors to be criminals, taking people without their permission and experimenting on them. So, when I was a kid, I wanted to get aboard a UFO so I could wrestle control from the aliens and keep the ship for myself. Sure, taking an alien spacecraft might be considered stealing, but I don’t think the aliens can claim the moral high ground.

Actually, though, what I actually hoped for is that the aliens would land somewhere near me, be unfortunately dying from something and say, here, take our ship, we don’t trust anyone else with it.

Neither scenario ever happened.
