Bobby’s Batch #4 - Shimmering Stars

The world doesn’t change for anybody. I cannot change the world or the people in it. I can only control what I do. My goal is to learn and to change, which it seems, happens every day. I had several comments (on my previous post) that really made me think.

I sometimes wish I had no intellect, no philosophical insight and could live by the old phrase, “ignorance is bliss”. To be absolutely honest, I often feel bad after I write certain things because I know people often take my meanings the wrong way (which is my fault).

I have never learned anything of true value, of depth and of revelation, without being jarred deeply from my beliefs. When someone says or does something that really affects you, it may hurt. It may make you angry. However, when the storm subsides - a powerful lesson is often learned!

Each of us are people and we all have feelings. Again and again, I am reminded of how beautiful this technology of blogging is. It brings us all together. We learn from each other. We lean on each other.

I admit, I often let my emotions pour on the pages of this blog. I write as honestly and passionately as I can. I cannot hold back how I feel. I can and will always listen to you all. I have learned more from the wonderful people in the blogosphere than from anyone.

I want to say something that all of you need to hear. My friend Zubli Zaindorin has been through some terrible things lately. Zubli is my friend and I will never say anything bad about him or any of my friends.

When someone comes to me, and tells me something horrible about someone - behind their back; I know that person is doing the wrong thing (we’ve all probably done it and had it done to us). If you don’t understand this or know the details, consider yourself lucky (I’m not going to explain to anyone). Zubli is a good person and has always been a good friend to me. I will stand proudly as his friend regardless of what a few people think.

You have many friends Zubli, and I am proud to be one of them! Today, I move forward with a renewed positivity. Remember this, spreading rumors is something children do - not adults. Let us keep our minds and hearts open for new ideas and new lessons. One thing I will not be doing anymore is saying negative things about “money blogs”. It doesn’t reflect well on my character and being mad at the world will not help anyone…live and learn.

I am not feeling well, but I still need to get this week’s batch done. So here are some shimmering stars! I had something great happen for me today but you’ll need to wait for my next post to see what it is.

revellian-dot-com.JPG

My sweet friend Judy wrote a post, I’ve Got a Little Light… which states something beautiful and meaningful! Thanks Judy, you inspired me!

My new friend Mitchell Allen wrote a hilarious post, Grave Error. It’s so well written and creative, it deserves acclaim! What great work!

My friend Paisley wrote a great post entitled Introduction. It’s about her dream and how she helps senior citizens. This is compelling work to say the least.

My friend The Mighty Morgan wrote a beautiful piece about her inner turmoils and the struggles of moving forward with her dreams, One Step Forward. Morgan expresses what many of us feel, such an honest expression.

My friend Square1 pointed me in the direction of a blog, The Individual Voice. I found several passionately written posts and was happy to have read them. The author TIV wrote a post entitled Why Politics Matter; I found it very interesting and highly recommend you read it!

My friend Emila drew a picture a few weeks ago that I really loved. It’s of her son Yassin, and the background was done with real coffee. It is entitled Moleskine: Yassin. Please go take a look!

My friend Bush Mackel wrote a post that made me think all last week and even into this week! I admit, I had a martial arts instructor who made such an incredibly profound mark on my life, it actually affected me in some negative ways. I learned the deepest of philosophy and the way of thought implanted in me remains absolutely indelible. I struggle with any type of self promotion. I was taught to be humble (perhaps in a destructive way). I believe I take it to an extreme. Bush wrote a post Why Write When No One is Reading? He is right. Many of us do avoid being successful…on purpose. His message is straight forward and really had an impact on me. I highly recommend you all read it, no matter what kind of blog you have!

My friend Karen wrote a very cool post, The Emperor and the Seed. I just loved it! As with many of her posts, there is a profound lesson to be learned!

Last, but certainly not least, is a fantastic post from my friend Andrea, entitled Do Parents Need a License? This is but one of many fantastic posts from Andrea. I regret not giving more attention to her blog(s). Truthfully, she has one of the most meaningful blogs I’ve seen. She also has a brand new blog, Mind Body and Soul!

    Hey Bobby,

Never stop thinking, being concerned with everything going on around you is a good way to be. Just try focusing on some of the positive ways you can help to change the things that you hate in the world.

I just wrote a post on the most awesome charity I’ve ever heard of, check it out. http://christyscoffeebreak.blogspot.com/2008/01/i-love-kivaorg-find-out-why.html

This is the type of program that can change lives one person at a time.

Channel all of your energy, all of that intensity that makes you so cool into worthwhile causes, I bet it would help to cheer you up.

    P.S.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could find a way to ban Internet gossip. One step forward for humanity:)

    P.P.S.

I don’t expect you to post my comments if you’d rather not, that’s OK. Just cheer up, and I’m always around if you need to talk.

In a world afraid to believe in anything it nice to read a post that is standing up for something and giving back to society with morals and values.

I’m glad to have met you Bobby, My world is better for it.I know of the Zubli Z. thing, I try and stay as far away from that issue. I know whats been told to me. What I choose to think is private. I will say this: Zubli has never done anything personally to ME. Therefore I continue to fuel his blog everyday and he does the same for me. I have no issues with him. I don’t think public hangings were ever fruitful anyway…(Please NO ONE take that wrong) I decide who I’m friends with, I never let others take my freedom away…
I am so sad to hear you are not well. I pray for your healing and that you will find the answers you seek. Bobby, Blog from your heart- don’t hide your shinning light. Just remember when you feel down come over and sing that song with me, I really do that. I have so many issues in my life right now that i could explode but I just try and hang on and breathe…..
Hugs and Love my darling Friend……

    Hi Bobby,
You are one of the good guys.
First, thanks for taking the time to share these wonderful blogs with us.
Second, thanks for hailing my latest effort.
Finally, I completely understand your decision to take the high road, where the A-List bloggers are concerned. I just want you know this: your rants were refreshing and had a lot to do with my decision to follow my heart instead of trying to be an “authority” blog.
Sometimes, we all need to hear the things that so few are willing to say.

    Stay true!

    Cheers,

    Mitch

Hey Bobby…Thanks for mentioning me. As for your post I really identify with much of what you wrote….especially the part about “ignorance is bliss” There are many, many, many days i wish I just didn’t “know” some stuff…but alas I do…and once you know, you cannot not know.
As for Zubli…he’s a great man…and good for you for letting people know where you stand!!!!

Hi Judy! The great thing is that all of us are together as friends, that will not change. I believe that each of us bloggers, reaching out to one another from every country on Earth hold the answer to world peace in our hands. It’s more than just making friends, it represents something more powerful…LOVE!!!!! Thanks so much Judy

I couldn’t have said it better myself! In fact, I have been telling myself exactly what your last sentence said when I feel myself getting hot in the face due to someone’s expressive, sometimes rude, comments on their positions in this world.

Thank you for making me feel like I am not alone in going through having my boat rocked then calming my own storm.

  23. Revellian on January 30th, 2008 5:09 pm

Thanks Mitchell! I suppose we’re all authorities in some respect, but being yourself is what you and I (and everyone) should be the ultimate authority on. If I ever do have a business oriented site, I will not ‘fake’ what the site is…it will be for making money, not falsely using the idea of friendship to sell things. Your post is wildly entertaining!

  24. Revellian on January 30th, 2008 5:13 pm

Yes Morgan! Intelligence and true insight is a burden on those who feel and know the world’s pain. I loved your writing the first time I read it.

  25. Revellian on January 30th, 2008 5:15 pm

Absolutely Marzie! I thank you for staying true to your friendships. You have been such a great friend to me and everyone, you are a shining star

  26. Revellian on January 30th, 2008 5:22 pm

Bush, you just be yourself…that alone makes you great blogger. Posts that inspire, that are written because of a passionate feeling - are powerful.

Thank you! I love the word ’spectacular”

    Hi Bobby,
Thank you for mentioning me and for your kind words. You moved me to tears…

As for Zubi, I believe you (and he) know how I feel. That situation hurt me as well. I only have positive thoughts about Zubli and feel good energy. I had turned to you as I hold you in high regard, being true, honest and real.

I wish you well and I send you many blessings~
    in peace and light…
