The way I see things, is no matter what happens in our lives: love, loss, pain, politics and everything else---we choose to be happy or sad and should make that choice for our own sanity. I used to live in New Orleans and did lots of partying, but that was a lifetime ago. These days, simpler things are my "party", like a nice day or a puppy hahaha! I love New Orleans but I can relate to your comment about a drink in the hand and the next party - i live in an area where those things are priorities.
