Include a Certificate of Authenticity, and I'm sure you can get another $50 for it. ;-)

Wow - so you really actually WERE left homeless from Katrina! I had no idea. Fortunately your mom lived in the area and her house wasn't destroyed. My goodness. I'm sorry you had to endure all of that. But then again, if that is what helped shape you into the person you are today, I'm grateful in a way and gladder still that you weren't hurt. Yikes.

Hi MP! It's nice to see you  Yes, I am unfortunately working in a casino bartending job. I am not making anywhere close to the amount I made as described in this article though. There is no place quite like that here anymore...I wish there was. That job was so difficult, I limped home everyday.

Hi Todd! I don't think there's anything wrong with Internet marketing, it's just become so saturated with people all doing the exact same thing. The only thing I make any money from is adsense, which is only visible if you look at single post. This keeps my bounce rate down and prevents smart pricing. I earned $171.00 in one year...hahaha. It's not much but it pays for my hosting. I sold one blue host account but have yet to be paid.

I think you really have to be selling something to make real money on line (not just hoping for clicks), and with so many people doing the same thing, it takes way too much time and effort for me to even try right now. For me, blogging is something else entirely than when I first started. It has become more about the friends I've made and my personal journey through life. It's much more fun than ever and I have no time line or schedule to adhere to. I have built a small but dedicated following and I try my best to do the same for others.

There's no telling where blogging will take any of us. I learn more everyday and being relaxed about it, I can discover new things. I do believe that an original approach will yield better results than doing what everyone does. Wherever you take your blog, you have a dedicated reader and friend in me. If you can inspire people, you can do anything - something I've always believed.

I spend most of my blogging time getting to know different people and become friends with them. So far, it has been a good choice for me. Thanks so much Todd!!!!

Hi Bobby,

I loved this post ... and it actually helped inspire me in my blogging. Yesterday I unsubscribed and unfollowed (on twitter) just about every Internet Marketing/Blog about Blogging site that I had been reading. I "hid" quite a few of my posts on Success with Todd (anything not having to do with Leadership and Personal Growth), and I removed almost all of the advertising.

In a way, I'm going to try my own online "tip jar" experiment. Focus totally on attitude, and not worry about directly asking for compensation ... just show people through my words and actions that I'm already "rich" (no matter what the numbers in my bank account might say at any given moment in time).

I'm glad I was lucky enough to find your blog. Lately especially, many of your posts really get me thinking ... thanks.

On a different note ... I've been to the Grand Casino. I live in Biloxi (on Pass road) for almost a year, back in the 90s when I was going to weather forecasting school at Keesler. I have fond memories of Mississippi.

Keep the great stories coming.

Talk to you again soon,
Todd
