You must back up your own site every day. I use the WP database backup plug in, and it automatically backs up my site every day. You must prepare your own site to withstand any and all problems like this. That's why they call it self hosting - you are basically your own web master. Also, never put in a support ticket for help - call them instead. Call and call again until you find someone to help you. Ask to speak to someone higher up and insist on it.
