USSR - United States Socialist Republic
Hello to all. Before I get into my political beliefs about Obama, McCain and what’s wrong with America, I want you to know a few other things. Hurricane Gustav obviously did not do any damage to my area. Also, my mother does not have cancer…YAY!!!!! Her tests came back negative for cancer and I am very pleased with that. Her doctor thought she did, but he was wrong.
Political Beliefs
Do you have political beliefs? What are they? I want to know. If you don’t have any, then get some…please. Most Americans don’t even have political beliefs, which is something that disgusts me. American Idol received more votes than any presidential candidate ever has, that should tell you what is wrong.
No matter where you live, the American presidential election is important and will affect you. America is supposed to be the leader in the concept of free societies across the entire world - a proponent of freedom for all people.
I Will Not Vote For Barack Obama
Perhaps you haven’t read the works of Karl Marx, but you should. Barack Obama is a Marxist. If you support Obama, you are a Marxist too (to a certain degree and you probably don’t even realize it). If you think otherwise, perhaps you should read the communist manifesto. I do not believe that the government should take care of people - in America, they already do. The government’s job is to protect the shores and deliver the mail - nothing more, nothing less. The idea of small government is in my opinion the best model to follow - I want them out of my business and personal life.
I believe in the constitution, not these yes-men running for office.
The idea of electing a black president is fantastic, but not Obama. The main reason most Americans are backing Obama is because he was against the Iraq war - that is not a good enough reason to elect him. I was against the Iraq war too, but I am not a socialist. I have read 27 books in the last six months to increase my knowledge. One thing I read was the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx. After reading it, I can see the similarities between his and Barack Obama’s philosophies. People hate George W. Bush. To get revenge, they will vote for Obama - a very ignorant move.
I Will Not Vote For John McCain
The upcoming election is killing me. The media is trying to force me to choose between a Marxist (Barack Obama) and a neo-con war monger (John McCain) - what a freaking ridiculous choice. John McCain, though labeled a republican is actually an old school democrat with a neo-con foreign policy. I am against preemptive war. What is preemptive war? It’s the idea of destroying a country because we believe they will cause problems in the future - in case you didn’t know. I am absolutely against it.
The truth is, there is really not that much difference between McCain and Obama. Either way, we will continue seeing the federal government bailing out giant corporations like Fannie May. The auto industry is next and of course, health care.
I don’t want the government owning the mortgage market, auto industry and health care. Why don’t I? Because it’s one step closer to communism. What kills me is that Americans actually want to be owned by the government. We have been convinced that we need to be coddled and cared for. Look at how screwed up Medicare is and how poorly managed the Iraq war was - and you want the same people taking care of your health? Are you insane? All these things may sound like “good ideas” on the surface, but when you look deeper, it is frightening.
Who will I vote for?
When I go to the election booth, who will I vote for? I already said I will not vote for either of the two major candidates. One name - Ron Paul. Ron Paul is a genius. A modern thinker who knows how things should be. Every American already knows that Ron Paul is a libertarian but is running under the the guise of republican - mostly because the libertarian party has no real traction. I could write a thousand page article about Ron Paul, but it’s already been done. Check out his site at Ron Paul.org.
For your information, Ron Paul received more campaign contributions from the U.S. military than all other candidates combined. Well then, why isn’t he going to win? Because Americans are so easily manipulated by both the media and government. While people are fighting over how black Obama actually is or Sarah Palin’s mothering skills, real problems are still in our faces.
Luckily, I can write in the name of the person I want to vote for in my home town. Some places you will be forced to pull a lever to choose and Ron Paul will not be available. Americans have two candidates shoved down their throats and neither are a good choice.
America is a corporate owned entity…period. I have a great fear that we will not be around much longer. America is going into uncharted territory and we are afraid of what is coming. The bitter end of America is coming and the only leader willing to speak the real truth is Ron Paul.
His ideas are of small government, anti-war and economic prosperity. I pray he doesn’t die as he is the true voice of a new generation. When I vote, I will have to physically write his name in, it will not be on the ballot. Most of my fellow American’s say, “Ron Paul has no chance of winning; therefore, I will not vote for him. I will vote one of the two candidates because the media tells me to.”
Don’t be a fool. We are being controlled like brainless sheep - lured into a world of socialism and onto communism later on - if we survive. Within the next five years, I may move to another country because of the poor choices our citizens have made.
What’s Wrong With America?
The problem is you - the American citizen. You sit at home watching TV and couldn’t care less about the future. You listen to all the crap spewed from the media and just don’t care. I am a conservative, not a republican - there is a massive difference between the two.
Health Care and National Debt
Every American wants free health care. Ask yourself this: will we pay for it before or after we pay China back the over 500 billion dollars owed to them? America is in debt for over 9 TRILLION dollars, yet we all want free health care and government run schools. Just so you know, a trillion is one million million. As my buddy Euroyank has been saying for years, America is on the verge of economic collapse.
Where will the money to pay for health care come from? It will come from you in the form of taxes. The corruption is sickening and I am barfing right now. If America bombs your country and kills your children, I didn’t do it - the government did. If you get free government housing and food stamps, the government made me pay for it though I do not approve.
Stop having babies you cannot afford, buying stuff you don’t need and start living within your means. When I see a poor person complaining about being poor, they are smoking cigarettes, drinking a beer and are overweight. How did that happen if they are so poor? I know a woman who has six kids and no job; however, she gets $6000.00 per month from the government and only pays $200.00 per month for rent on a four bedroom apartment! What? I am not kidding. She’s doing way better than I am and has no plans to get a job.
Please do not vote for McCain or Obama. Vote for Ron Paul, even though he cannot win. If I move, where should I go? What country should I move to? I’m single and ready to leave this place - I am not kidding.
Who Will Win?
John McCain will win because most Americans are afraid of Marxism - I know I am. McCain is all about war and will continue Bush’s policies, but that is a better choice than Karl Marx at this time - or is it? They are bad choices and I am against both. McCain has traits of a Marxist also, he’s just better at disguising it.
It is out of serious heartache that I question the intelligence of any human that truly backs the two major candidates chosen by the American public.
I’m not trying to insult your intelligence if you are supporting Obama. I just don’t think people from other countries (and Americans) realize how bad the U.S. economy is in. Peaceful negotiations will not save us. I wrote this because I hope to be hated by Barack Obama supporters…lol.

Hey buddy! Good to see you writing up a storm again!
I was wondering about your views and now I know them. Thanks for your usual honesty! I enjoyed reading this.
Couple things …
I’m a Libertarian! (smile)
I hope no one reads your article and thinks I’m the woman with six kids. I’m not her everyone! I work my patootie off!
My husband went to high school with Sarah Palin and we are from that same small town in Alaska. Not a big deal but just a little trivia for ya. It’s been fun and freaky seeing our old hometown on the news every night.
Bobby for President!
Hi Paula!!! It is great to hear from you. I know you’re not that woman! If the democrats really wanted to win, Barack should’ve chosen Hillary as his running mate and it would already be over. I would love a Palin-Clinton debate!
I’ll run for office only as vice president and you as president! I will talk to you soon
Hi Bobby, I could finally enter & comment on your blog today. Glad to know that everything is fine over your side. Take Care
Thanks Janice!!! It’s great to see you! I will be by soon
well, i support obama, but i find it interesting to read posts from persons who support other candidates. i’m glad to hear about your mother.
@Kouji: You are a Marxist based socialist? That’s ok, I won’t hold it against you. Thanks for the words for my mother
Hi, Im a first time reader of your blog and I want to thank you for your honesty in writting.
My question to you and perhaps other educated and searching Americans is regarding 911 and the Bush administration.
I am a UK citizen but have lived all over Europe and currently in Africa, so I am not privvy to the general feelings of the American population. I have watched loose change 911 and the Zietgiest movie and as a rational inteligent person the conclusions I have drawn are that 911 was a US government operation.
I am confused as to how you can all be talking about the political process when it seems obvious to me that your political system is so totally corrupt and that it does not matter who gets in.
Could someone please explain this totally unbelievable situation to me. Are you not aware that 911 was an American Government attack to create fear at home and alow the barbarity and destruction of other countries?
This week loose change 911 final cut was screened in Norway and Sweden on the main TV channels, most thinking searching people in Europe are aware, what is going on in the US,
If youi elect another president and just allow this bartbarity to pass you are doing nothing but agreeing to the barbarity, surely you should all be talking about rooting out the corruption and evil that is so entrenched in your political system that it allows a massacre of the magnitude of 911 to pass.
Thank you for your time,
Hey Bobby. Glad to hear all is well. Thanx for letting all of know the good news on both fronts.
Well, let’s start at the top. Government needs to be smaller and not bigger. It gets bigger every day on just about every level. I do not need nor desire the government to run my life. I’m quite capable of doing that myself thank you. For those folks who are not… LEARN HOW! I’ve no desire to take care of you and yours because you don’t want to.
The 2 party system sucks. No other way to put it. Quite frankly, any party system sucks. How about we make everyone “independents” and allow your actions to speak for you instead of the person sitting next to you.
Taxes… let’s not get started. Let’s just say that if you haven’t a clue on how to properly spend what you collect you’ve got no freakin’ business collecting them in the first place! This goes to just about every branch and level of government I can think of! If you cannot run your “business” properly what makes you think I want you to run mine?!?!
We can go down the list of industries/services and the corruption. Sickening doesn’t begin to describe it. And let’s not stop with government. Each one of you go into your closets, refrigerators, cabinets, and start reading the warning labels…
TV Dinner… Caution hot when heated.
Curling Iron… Caution do not use in bathtub.
Peanut Brittle… Allergy information contains peanuts.
I personally want to thank everyone who’s responsible for this type of senseless and ridiculous spending. My suggestion to you… don’t vote you’re too stupid. And if you already happen to be in any kind of governmental office or professional service… quit, you’re too stupid.
No, I don’t know who I’m going to vote for. As I see it it’s always choice between the lesser evils. Who’s most likely to do the least harm and not the most good and I’ve yet to decide who that is.

Who says the government should deliver mail? That’s not very Libertarian of you, Bobby!
You know, if it wasn’t for Congress dipping in and taking money, f I remember right, postage would cost less than it does. In general, the post office is pretty efficient, when Congressmen aren’t dipping into the revenues.
You know, Obama is a lot like Bush. When Bush ran, he portrayed himself as a guy who could bridge the parties and bring change to Washington, just like Obama promises. And, in spite of all that talk of change, he selected as a running-mate a Washington insider, which is exactly what Obama has done.
You got me going on the post office, and I forgot to say I was glad to hear everything was okay for you (hurricane) and your mother (cancer).
Hi Dave! Most voters are like a bunch of rabid fans at a football game - they have no idea why they’re cheering and jeering.
As individuals, we must be self sufficient and take care of ourselves. If we leech off the system, it just causes more problems. It makes government bloated and corrupt. Both candidates, in my opinion, are the worst two choices in the history of the U.S.
As a country, we cannot help and support every other country. We are stretched far too thin. We are policing the world. That alone is bringing down the U.S.
The reason all this is happening is a collective movement towards a one world government under a singular totalitarian body. Both candidates are all for it.
I’m fed up with it. I don’t think people know what communism is. It is ownership of everything by the state and employer of all people. That my friend, is where we are headed.
Hi Dan! The Bush Administration is actually responsible for the bail out of Bear Stearns and Fannie May (and Freddie Mac). This is in preparation for either Obama or McCain to possibly nationalize them.
Let’s see, the government owns and backs all mortgages…hmmm…that is COMMUNISM. I hope I can buy a governmental home one day - a home, that after purchasing, isn’t really even mine!
You are exactly right. Bush and Obama are so much alike, but people are blinded by his flamboyance and powerfully delivered speeches.
Yes, I do think the government should deliver most of the mail. If all they did was the mail and protect OUR shores, they might actually succeed at it…lol
Hi Bobby,
I must apologize for the comment above: What I was trying to do was install my new Xat Box chat room in your comments area, and then chat with you…But it didn’t work so please feel free to delete my comment above, because it was not my intention to spam you with a link. I really thought that we could chat, but that didn’t happen.
I wanted to chat because of your post today and to let you know that I wrote about it, although I know that you would see it on your incoming links. I just wanted to let you and everyone else know that I have a way to chat with them without a Windows Live sign in with this new chat room. I am not really sure that anyone really wants to chat with me anyway but I am giving the Xat Box a try just in case.
I loved your post today and I wanted to let you know that you inspired me to write I Can’t See the Big Picture! and More Stuff to Say!
Thank you for being my friend and Enjoy Life!
Jeff
I vote for George Washington and Thomas Jefferson every four years yet, my vote can’t raise the dead to restore the constitution.
Seriously after Reagan, I have been write-in voting. It is unfortunate that more Americans do Not realize the power of the write-in vote and vote for someone like Ron Paul!
@Jeff: How’s it going buddy? Sure, I’d be happy to chat with you sometime. I’ll come by soon.
@Debbie: Hi Miss Colbert! I certainly don’t think Ron Paul is perfect, but his voting record is the most consistent of anyone - no one comes close. We have two candidates promising change. Yes…there will be change. We will become more of a socialist republic under either one. What on Earth is wrong with the American public?
Hi Bobby! This is a very insightful post, especially from all the way over here in Australia. We see Obama and McCain almost everyday here in the news… not that I take much notice of what they are reporting on however, I don’t think I have ever seen Ron Paul.
My understanding is that a vote is not compulsory over there so you do miss out on many votes is that correct? Whatever the outcome, it will ripple throughout the world and affect all of us and that’s the part that’s very scary.
Bless you for being so honest and transparent. If only more people were like you. The media has a lot to answer for and that’s why I really hate TV and the newspapers. The masses do believe everything they are told and it’s hard to break from that mould.
Glad to hear you and your mum are okay. When you make your move… there’s lots of space here in Oz. Take care!
Hi Ange! It’s amazing how nearly all people from all countries know who Obama and McCain are. Just so you know, the American media barely ever mentions any leaders from any countries. The American media considers itself the most important and almost trivializes the rest of the world. That really bothers me.
Americans are not required to vote. Around 60% of us are registered to vote; of those, only around 50% actually do vote. Overall, most people don’t vote and as long as they have their TV’s and entertainment, they don’t care.
We are headed towards being a socialist nation, under a police state - that’s why I want to move.
It’s great to see you! I am trying to get back in the groove of blogging again
The move toward a socialist state in America is scary, but I still believe it is the best place to live in the world. If Americans want to keep it that way, they must take a strong stand on the constitution and oppose socialist mentalities.
Good to see you have the same kind of idiots in your government as we do in ours
Hi Nick! It’s not that our leaders are idiots, the citizens who choose them are. If people were knowledgeable, they would choose real leaders. It’s nice to know we aren’t the only ones with poor leadership
Hi Bobby,
Sorry for the delay…Mr. Colbert had me tied up!
I don’t believe Ron Paul is perfect yet, voting for a candidate should based on his actions not his rhetorical campaigning B.S.
In addition, I am curious if a independent third party candidate, if elected, has the Colbert Cojones to “fix” Washington.
I personally appreciate the effort you put into this post but unfortunately one post is not enough, you need more than one post to explain better your ideas. its easy to call someone Maxist but in these few lines you offer the point doesn’t come out. I’ll say: the system provides its leader, in a very natural way, watch carefully and you’ll see what I’m saying.Fear=>people look for what you call “neo-con war monger” that is McCain. Social Welfare; zero, life expectancy:down, Rich vs Poor:a very big gap; America spends huge sums on War and going to Space, yet people die from natural catastrophes, can’t send their children to school and so on,-> they turn to some sort of Maxist:Obama… no American president in 8years can move America from Capitalism to Socialism not to talk about Maxism. thx man.
@Miss Money: The problem is, no one can tell the truth and actually get elected. The reason Ron Paul will never be president is because he’s against the entire system and doesn’t pander to either party - which is unfortunately a necessity to get elected.
@Martin: I understand; however, I may write more articles to prove my point. Socialism and Marxism are so very similar, although Marxism usually involves guns. America is already part socialism, Marxism, capitalism and liberal fascism; a mixture of all.
It really doesn’t matter which of the two candidates is elected, we will get similar results from either. The American government is currently buying out the capitalistic parts of society such as the mortgage market, auto industry, air travel, health care and so forth. By definition, when the government owns these things, it is known as communism. Neither Obama or McCain are antithetical to these problems; therefore; both of them are Marxists to a degree.
The bigger the government gets, the worse the problems are. I am not necessarily opposed to government health care, but right now, we cannot afford it. America is out of money, so a different approach is needed - an approach in opposition to both McCain and Obama.
Obama’s entire ideology is based on taking from the rich and giving it to the poor with the use of government - that is not freedom, it is a form of Marxism. It doesn’t work and has been proven. America is broke already because of such problems.
The people that really do need help are not getting it, while people who don’t are bleeding the system dry. I think it will require America to fail completely before a real solution can be done.
I am really glad to hear that your mom is cancer-free! Take comfort and joy in that Bobby and the rest of ur worries will seem insignificant compared to this good news u received. Take care!
Thanks Marzie! She’s not out of the woods yet. The doctors are monitoring her with frequent exams, but at least it’s not cancer. They aren’t sure what’s wrong with her. I will take care of her if she gets really sick
Here Here. I agree 100%. The problem is the American people themselves and the laziness that has consumed them, with only the motivation to collect for free and services unrendered. People want to live well beyond their means and when its time to pay for it they want someone else to foot the bill and blame everyone else for the position that they are in. Instant Gratification and an entitlement mentality has overwhelmed society. My question is what about the people like myself that are solid investors, save up and don’t overextend myself having to pay for those who made premeditated risky investments and don’t want to pay the piper? When did that become our problem for being responsible? Why is it that we must live under Socialist rule because of our deadbeat and unresponsible neighbors? All we get for working and paying our bills on time is increased interest rates from our credit cards and an “atta boy” from our mortgage companies along with decreased property values, while Deadbeat Dave next door is driving a Rolls Royce and boating with his new yacht on the equity he pulled out 4 years ago and hasn’t made a payment on for the last year, crying for the government to fix it for him……..curses!
