@Revellian: We can still defeat the government. Never say never, and never say the government is far too big and powerful to deal with. It is possible and we can do it! There certainly is more of us than there is of them. If we repeat what our forefathers did then it can be done. We just have to use a different strategy because of the modern times.

@Doug: Thanks for reading! I think it's too late to change anything. The government is far too big and powerful to deal with anymore.

@Sean: How's it going Sean! As you know, I oppose the entire American political system. Yeah, all politicians are like stars, not leaders. I'll come read your article!

Hi Bobby
Once again, your passion shines through. Well done!

I called in for another purpose and got sucked in to read this article. LOL. That's what happen when you travel the Revellian Highway.

I posted an article on my blog (you know where it is) as an example for my IM coaching students. The AUS liberal leader (our republicans, I think), is now on Twitter so I wrote an article about him "being a Twit", in a nice way.

Having no more to say after one paragraph, I decided to elaborate on how politicians draw attention to themselves from their statements. Sarah Palin came to mind (I find her a bit... well strange. No different to the rest). So I posted a pretty average video with John Cleese having a laugh at her.

I got some irate responses from a couple of republicans. It was obvious they were one-eyed voters as they were upset that "Lovely and Adorable" Sarah Palin was being mocked by "Cheap and Untalented" John Cleese.

Never mention my play with words on the Democrat Ticket: OBAMA BIN BIDEN

That didn't rate a mention. LOL. That was fine with them. Obviously, mocking the Democrats was OK because they probably hate them and will vote for anything and everything that represents their party - even if it means they have to sacrifice their sons for the Haliburton, Bechtel, Enron, Main and the Global agenda for the banks.

Great story, Bobby. Please call in and comment as your presence will be noticed. Cheers mate.

P.S. This article is nowhere near my standard. I wrote it as an example for my IM students and dropped my standard a bit. Never-the-less, there is a point there and I will appreciate your input.

Revellian,
I have enjoyed your discourse. I agree that there is a definite break in the system. I happen to lean a bit toward the lessor of two evils, rather than none at all. This is because the system as it is demands that action at this point. The laziness and complacency of the US has helped to create this mess we are in, as well as, the greed syndrome of our society. We think that all is well until its not and then it is a bit late...

Thanks Jackie! You have every right to believe in and vote for whomever or whatever you wish - that's what this country is all about. What it boils down to for me in politics, is it's up to us citizens to fight against governmental corruption. We should all write all of our representatives regularly, not just when something bad happens.

To me, being politically active is far more important that merely voting, but it's extremely stressful and negative at times. As long as I'm free to do what I want and can afford to eat, I don't really even care who the president is...lol!

Have a great day

Hi Bobby,
This is yet again another incredibly well thought out and written piece.

Although I am voting for one of the main parties here in America. I lost my youthful idealism long ago.

You are right if they are completely honest then they'll never make it.

Oh where oh where do we go from here?

And as you know as far as religious convictions I remain true to my heart and not any specific doctrine of an established church.

I try to follow as best I can the real teachings of Christ. And I do that I try to do that in deed everyday. Not just in words once a week.

I too respect all religious convictions. And as you well know some of my best blogging buddies come from every walk of faith.

Happy day Bobby:-)

@Forex: Is there a such thing as an honest politician? There are a few, but their honesty & integrity prevents them from getting elected.

Ha ha that list of what you wish a candidate was funny, because it is mostly true. I wonder if politics would be as complicated and frustrating if people actually tried telling the truth. It seems to be a battle to find out who is telling the truth and who is just telling us junk not what the issues are and their solutions.

@Leila: America doesn't have any money. WE ARE BROKE. Also, the American government is so deeply corrupted, they cannot be trusted. Since you'e so civilized, can I borrow the money to pay for a private plan?

If America actually had the money, then maybe socialized health care system could work. Maybe we'll do that AFTER the citizens get their trillion dollar bailout loan back from the government.

What makes you think a national health care policy won't work? The Canadian system works just fine. The US is the only western democracy to not have a health care program. Strange, don'T you think.

Also, giving an individual a tax break does not a program make. Countries need programs and the values that underline them.

Come up to Montreal and see how the civilized really live. ;-)
