The American government keeps growing in mammoth proportions. It grows in power like a gargantuan beast filled with ignorance, greed, red tape -- a chaotic conundrum of governmental bureaucracy that runs deeper than hell itself. I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of big brother, the new world order, globalization (or whatever you want to call it) and the perpetual disgust that is the United States government. I am proud to be American, but repulsed by our government.
Obama & McCain: Big Brother’s Candidates
Both of these candidates have offered all their new governmental plans, big spending and not for the people; they are for the government. The more I learn about politics, the more I loathe it. The more I learn about McCain and Obama, the more I disagree with them. The more lies I hear from congress the more I believe they are all corrupted.
I’m also tired of hearing the “lesser of two evils” approach to politics. If somebody asked, “Which one of these two piles of doggie-doo do you want to eat?” Do you say, “The drier one looks less grotesque than the runny one, so I’ll eat that one.” Of course not -- you won’t eat either one! You should apply the same mentality to politics.
Hahaha! Choosing between two grandiose egomaniacal power players like Obama and McCain is not a choice. It’s government and big money lobbyists shoving two turds down our throats. Perhaps my choice of words offends you -- that’s too bad -- we all deserve to be offended. We should all be offended by Obama, McCain and the entire congress. It’s both the democratic and republican parties fault, so stop blaming only one side. The presidents job isn’t to change us -- that’s our job -- but we’re told it’s not.
Check out my friend Debbie’s article: Fishy Presidential Election Debates. Click the link to Howard Stern and listen to interviews with Obama supporters. It is absolutely ridiculous. These people don’t even know which VP is running with which candidate. She has some other great links included.
The Revellian Welfare Plan
As you know, I oppose personal welfare and think it should be eliminated in favor of charity from churches, family, friends or humanitarian organizations. I also oppose corporate welfare and bailing out failed businesses. This may seem silly, but if a few common sense rules were applied, 90% of all personal welfare applicants would be eliminated, allowing those who really need it to get it.
I managed a liquor store in an extremely high crime district a few years ago and most of my customers were poor, living in governmental housing, getting welfare and food stamps. Most of these people wore designer clothes, owned cars, drank liquor and sold illegal drugs.
Here’s the Revellian Welfare Plan:
All welfare applicants must pass random drug, alcohol and cigarette screenings. If you fail, all welfare will be discontinued…PERIOD.
That’s it. That’s my plan. Look, if you can afford to spend money on cigarettes, drugs and alcohol, you have no right to get free money from the government. You should be buying food instead. I have asked jobless, homeless people, “Why don’t you go to the salvation army, take a shower, shave and spend $10.00 on a haircut. I will donate you a set of clothes and take you to get a job doing something.”
I never had a single person take me up on it. I don’t care who you are in America. I don’t care if you’re white, African American, Chinese, Mexican or whatever -- welfare is a choice -- so is success. It is up to you to make it. Get two or more jobs and make it. If you are poor and have 12 children, that is your own fault! Poor guys, use a condom. Poor women, make sure your man uses a condom. The more I think about abortion, the more I see it as a way for totally irresponsible adults to save money. It’s your own choice to be responsible and not mine.
I could recover from homelessness and near starvation anywhere in this country and so could you. I remember my dad scolding me one time for collecting unemployment from the state for one month when I was 21. He was right. Even getting a low end job washing dishes is more beneficial than ever collecting free money. I still feel guilty about it to this day. I could have found a job easily, but I leeched off the system in apathetic disgust.
Self-Ownership
Whatever happened to the idea of self-ownership? Ultimately, we own ourselves. We are supposed to sit in the captains chair of our own lives. I think some people just try to get from birth to death with as little effort and thought as possible. Ignorant Americans from all walks of life believe a new president will change the world -- I can only laugh -- especially if it’s Obama or McCain. It’s not about that, it’s about all of us living our own lives and making things happen ourselves. I don’t want to become a Borg like on Star Trek, living in a collectivist society for the greater good of all. Todays war in politics is becoming a war between communitarians and libertarians.
America is in serious trouble. America is broke. This is why I am a libertarian against big government, foreign intervention and federal income taxes (which are unconstitutional by the way). With all the bailouts and nationalization of banks, I feel like America is just a memory. I’m voting for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. Bob Barr isn’t libertarian enough for me; his positions are not acceptable and is a sell out. Check out Chuck Baldwin’s positions on the issues. Notice he wants to ELIMINATE all federal income taxes, which is a necessity. He is the only candidate supporting the U.S. constitution.
There are SIX candidates running for president, not two. On Project Vote Smart, there is a full list of the six candidates. Big money and the media keeps the other four in the shadows. The Green party candidate is an African American woman, Cynthia Ann McKinney -- you will never hear about her in the biased media.
At least I know where all the candidates stand. The truth is, government and more government is not the answer; the reduction in government size and power is. One position Baldwin has is eliminating foreign intervention and foreign aid. I know people from other countries will not agree with me, but with America being broke, we cannot afford it. I love helping other people, but if we aren’t here, we will never be able to do anything. America must help itself right now before we collapse. With all the coordinated efforts between the world’s central banks, an extremely corrupted one world government is the direction we’re headed in.
I agree with Obama that the Iraq war is costly and stupid, but I disagree with him on economic policy. The redistribution of wealth, more welfare and higher taxes is anti-capitalistic/pro-socialistic and will destroy our sovereignty. McCain is pro-war, thus I oppose him too. Both are wrong. Besides, all their promises are lies anyway. I also oppose Bush, a complete idiot. Bush, Obama and McCain all supported the bailout.
Most Voters Are Unqualified
With all the attention to Acorn and it’s alleged fraudulent voter registration, I believe 90% of these people have no idea why they’re voting or what the candidate’s views are. I am part of a dying breed of individualists who believe simply in themselves. Everyone can vote, but some probably should not. I bet most of them don’t read or watch the news. Watch this video about how oblivious most voters are
The problem Acorn had is a ridiculous pay method. I once had a similar job with the U.S. Census Bureau (counting every person in every home in America -- an unnecessary government program) and was paid bonuses when I reached my quota. Like many Acorn employees, I just wrote in extra names with a family count so I could reach my daily quota and get that extra cash. Of course, I was a young college student and didn’t have any qualms about getting paid. I cannot believe that all states do not require a drivers licence or state I.D. to vote. Now that would be a good federal law.
Do we really need all this government in our lives? All they really need to do is defend America and that’s about it! We need less government, not more. Libertarian John Stossel of ABC News 20/20 had a fantastic report on government. I highly recommend you watch his video here, it is fantastic! Check out several of his articles while you’re there.

Hi Bobby!
Thank you for the fishy election link and the late night humor on a very grave serious subject of political deception. The Dog shit analogy of the “lesser of the two evils” is one of the best political satires about election B.S.!
I was appalled reading someone say they would vote for Obama when the person is fully aware that Barack Obama voted against our rights to privacy after Barack voted for the F.I.S.A. (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act – H.R. 6304) Bill.
Seems like this election could be the ultimate referendum on voters voting for the candidate who is the best liar unless more Bloggers start posting the truth about federal politics for a real refreshing change and candidates who truly support the U.S. Constitution!

Hi Debbie! Yes, FISA is destructive to all freedom. It’s my hope that Chuck Baldwin will become more well known and become the new Ron Paul as he is getting really old. Baldwin is young and has many years to fight.
I support Baldwin 100%, and have watched all of his videos and read his sites from top to bottom. I hope the Fairness Doctrine isn’t reinstated with Obama and the liberal congress in office. I am so against everything our government is doing and am afraid they cannot be stopped.
The nationalization of banks is temporary? YEAH RIGHT!!!! It’s permanent of course and just the beginning. You’re welcome for the link. It’s nice to know someone who believes in FREEDOM

Touche, Bobby. You are the first person since Michael Moore (sorry, I’m not comparing you with him) that has pointed out to me that there are more than 2 candidates in a US election. Democracy my ass! Sorry guys, we don’t have one either in AUS.

Hi Sean! Well, I’m not a supporter of Michael Moore, but he is right about Bush and has pointed out many disturbing things, so I respect anyone trying to do something for America. Including you, I have several good Australian friends, and they’ve all said the same thing about the lack of democracy.
The entire world is in trouble. Democracy is not government making rules, it’s people taking control of their lives and letting the free market be free. I had a liberal friend say, “Yes, let the free market run free and look what happened with Bush. This free market position messed it all up!”
Hahahaha…I am astonished that people think Bush is a free market guy! He is the opposite! The whole regulation/deregulation argument is idiotic and has nothing to do with the current problems.
Let the people and private sector be great like it’s supposed to be and get government out of the way!

Hi Bobby,
As ever, you present compelling positions that require me to THINK!
David Boaz points out the danger of the spoken word. I grew up in an extended Baptist family and recognize the melodious cadence of a sermon in full swing. Obama mesmerizes audiences. McCain’s reference to CinC of USA is a Freudian slip that has passed into the political vernacular in the same way that statements about WMD in Iraq did.
The danger here lies in “quiescent acquiescence” – truth by default.
Cheers,
Mitch

Hi Mitch! It is impossible for a wise human being filled with true clarity to become mesmerized by a speech no matter who delivers it. I simply oppose giving the most corrupted and powerful military on earth more control over my life. Every time they “give” you something, the less you own yourself.

Hi Bobby,
I meant mesmerize in its physiological form. But, even at that, I’m far from wise
What makes your statements so compelling is that I see myself in them. I’m the uninformed American being lead to believe that at least one of these candidates is going to “fix” what’s wrong with this country. That’s the problem with being apolitical – I don’t know who to believe or what it is really going to take to make the world a better place.
Cheers,
Mitch

I wish I had the answers Mitch! I’m no expert on anything and my opinion changes quite often – I am but a beginner just trying o find his way. I believe ultimately, it is we the people that can fix the country, not a particular leader or ideology.

LOL excellent analogy! The Lesser of Two Evils is still evil! There are more bloggers writing articles just like this one. Keep writing about it!
*Google the keywords, ‘The Lesser of Two Evils’
Wouldn’t it just surprise the dickens out of Obama and McCain if NEITHER one of them won? ROFL!
Blogging is the New Media. This is how we get our voice heard. Keep blogging people! The PEOPLE should be choosing the next president, not the media.

Hi Sisterlisa! Well, the entire world would be shocked if one of them didn’t win, but I know one of them will. I’m voting for Baldwin purely based on his constitutional stance. Ron Paul has recommended him and that’s good enough for me.
It’s really up to us to help get the constitution party more coverage so people learn what it’s all about. Thanks so much for reading

Hi Jane!!! I already knew you were liberal
I’m totally liberal on social issues and think there are too many useless laws and restrictions but am totally constitutional on economic issues. I just think America is too broke to have new programs like healthcare right now. As you know, I basically oppose the entire government lol! Thanks for reading!

Hi Bobby!
Our founding fathers would be appalled to see the corrupt political power of the two party system which I believe is Unconstitutional since all candidates should have equal time to be heard by all voters. They designed term limits to limit the power of Politicians fully expecting voters would elect new Blood to office. Career Politicians like Obama and McCain are old Blood with too much self-serving power.
The following is statement is bold for emphasis to stand out in the political sea…
The only candidate who appears to have an American solution to the mess created by the Democrats and Republicans is Chuck Baldwin who wants to pull out of Iraq and the United Nations!
Every voter should be able to hear Chuck’s American solution on a national program like 20/20 before Nov 4.

Hi Debbie! What liberals fail to see is that Obama is going to make the government even bigger and more powerful than Bush. I think the answer is to show the world of libertarianism to all liberals. I think most liberals would actually like libertarianism if they learned about it.
Obama and McCain think the president is a magical king or something. Big power-mongering egos like theirs is scary!
