I like that line too, it's so strange. I've only read two Koontz novels: <em>Hideaway</em> and <em>Cold Fire</em>, both very good. His biggest influence is Stephen King. My favorite horror authors are H.P. Lovecraft and Clive Barker, though I am nowhere near the level of any of these authors mentioned. They are all famous and very prolific.
