USSR – United States Socialist Republic

Hello to all. Before I get into my political beliefs about Obama, McCain and what’s wrong with America, I want you to know a few other things. Hurricane Gustav obviously did not do any damage to my area. Also, my mother does not have cancer…YAY!!!!! Her tests came back negative for cancer and I am very pleased with that. Her doctor thought she did, but he was wrong.

Political Beliefs

Do you have political beliefs? What are they? I want to know. If you don’t have any, then get some…please. Most Americans don’t even have political beliefs, which is something that disgusts me. American Idol received more votes than any presidential candidate ever has, that should tell you what is wrong.

Street Respect – The Gangster Mentality

I’m not going to get into the history of gangster mentality or street respect, but will offer my personal experience instead. One of the most corroded aspects of modern society is this attitude of street respect. It’s all over the United States, and if it’s not near your house, you are one of the lucky ones. It’s common for a street thug to murder someone just for calling him a name or “disrespecting” him. It is the ultimate act of cowardice and stupidity, and is so widespread, your kids could easily fall prey to or even become one of them.

What Is The Difference Between Liberal and Conservative?

What is the true difference between a liberal and a conservative? Why do people buy into the entire idea that you must be one or the other? In the words of political pundit George Will, “A conservative is willing to accept freedom. Liberals tend to favor equality of outcome and are willing to sacrifice freedom to get it.” I agree with him, but I do not believe the people in power are either one – not in a true sense. I am personally much more conservative than I am liberal, but disagree with most of our political leaders.

Henry Adams said that politics is a system of categorizing our hatreds – so true, that’s exactly what it is. The origin of our political system was quite ingenious, and the two parties, republicans (conservative) and democrats (liberal) – widely speaking – are supposed to provide a balance so the society has structure and cohesion. What they failed to account for was the greed infested criminal element which is so prevalent in todays politics; thus, the political parties serve to drive people apart, giving them more reasons to hate each other. They also keep people at each other’s throats, while a corrupted government makes billions for themselves – a massive diversionary tactic with a life of it’s own.

What I cannot stand are people that play partisan politics – meaning a person will side with their party regardless of what they do. Think abut this: Many republicans will stand behind George W. Bush, no matter what mistakes he makes. One such person is the cackling Elisabeth Hasslebeck on the female driven morning TV show, The View. George Bush could stab a baby, and she would say he did the right thing; well, maybe my example is extreme hahaha. What if George W. Bush were a democrat and did all the same things, the only difference being a little “D” next to his name. The republicans would hate his guts just because he’s a democrat. What I’m saying is that people defend their party no matter what, which is a very ignorant thing to do.

Many people may believe I’m liberal because I fight for equality and am anti-war, but I am not. I am a libertarian conservative. I believe government should be small, protect our shores and deliver the mail. The idea that our federal government can equalize all people is a liberal fantasy of unrealistic idealism. We really are not born equal. We are born as a product of our environment. If we are born into a rich family, our lives will be much easier. If we are born to homeless crackheads, we will face a serious struggle. I am a political conservative with many liberal views. For instance, gay marriage isn’t an issue with me. I could care less if they get married, which is a liberal view. I am lost when it comes to federal health care. I guess the only way to find out if it will work is to give it a try. I must admit my political views are evolving into something I cannot really explain. I am simply fed up with our system. It is time to try something different. Maybe liberalism is the answer, maybe it’s not. We will find out soon enough.

Modern society has come a long way, and equality is important to ethical conservatives regardless of what people think. It’s also a myth that liberals are so anti-war they are willing to die just to be a fair person. The Federal government cannot fix the problems. Modern society has only been going a few hundred years, so perfection is an outlandish idea. My favorite politician is Ron Paul, and he says most issues of equality are being worked out through every individual’s involvement in politics and that most issues, like gay marriage and abortion should be left up to individual states. I agree with him 100%. The bigger the government is, the more problems we will have. In America, most people do not vote and really don’t care – a massive problem indeed.

If you don’t mind seeing gay guys holding hands on every street corner, move to California. If you want the right to shoot someone for walking through your yard, move to Texas. With a liberal Federal government, we will lose that ability (so I’m led to believe). I would like to point out that the current Bush administration is not a conservative government. Bush has increased the governments size and given conservatism a bad name.

So who will I vote for? I wish I could really get behind one of the two main candidates, but I cannot. I know many people who have Obama fever, but have you actually looked at his stance on every issue? I don’t believe there will be much difference between Obama or McCain, both are too liberal and are for huge government. I know that gas prices will not go down and that taxes on the middle class will only increase. Michelle Obama said that Americans don’t mind paying higher taxes as long as it’s for something good. I disagree with that 100%. I love the idea that both a black man and a woman have come to the forefront – it represents a big change in popular beliefs and opinions. That’s all fine and dandy, but how will you feel when you get major tax increases? The only thing I agree with Obama on is his position on the Iraq war. Other than that, I strongly oppose most of his policies. I could be wrong though, and am willing to change and learn something new. If something works, then I will support it. I am willing to accept anything that works regardless of party affiliation. Political evolution and adaptation is the wave of the future – at least I hope.

The reason people hate George W. Bush isn’t necessarily because of the Iraq war, it’s because it sucks being American with prices getting so high. Our economy is all screwed up because of a corrupted congress, big government and big oil. Want it to get even worse? Then elect Obama or McCain. Government will get even bigger, prices will skyrocket and taxes will become unbearable. Don’t believe me? Wait 4 years and see.

I know, the above statement is quite sarcastic and somewhat negative, but I’m trying to be realistic. If we lived in under a truly conservative government, operated by honest people of honorable character, things would be fine right now; however, they are not honest and are greed infested scum. The idea of conservatism, is truly the root America is built on. The problem is, most people cannot afford health care, and more and more young people will not have an opportunity to go to college unless their family is financially well off. This is where liberalism is supposed to provide balance, giving a voice to the poor and middle class. I agree 100% that we as a society have to lift up the poor, and give them every opportunity. Who will pay for all these programs? It will be the middle and lower middle class. It’s a complete conundrum. What if every rich person were of such high character, they never left their money to their children, but instead gave it all to a poor citizen college fund? Haha…dream on! A rich family will of course leave their money to their children which helps fortify a lopsided division of wealth. When you’re talking about a radical redistribution of wealth, you’re talking about communism.

When the liberals become too far left, and the conservatives get too far right, the outcome is fascism and communism; which is where we are right now and it’s only getting worse.

When the big corporations are heavily taxed, they just move to other countries and outsource their work, which only fuels the problem even more. The oil titan Haliburton, moved to Dubai for that very reason, just one example of how taxing the rich effects things. There is no one greedier than a billionaire who loses a few million – something I do not understand.

The degree of corruption is so deeply ingrained, I don’t really see an answer. I believe any change from Bush will be a good change. I certainly hope if Obama gets elected, he doesn’t get so caught up in “Washington”, that he forgets why he became president. It would be impossible for any of us to comprehend just how Washington changes people. Look at what happened to the Bush administration; they went in to change Washington, but Washington changed them.

If things continue like they have been here in America, we Americans will eventually be a third world country doing outsourced jobs for all the foreign corporations that actually used to be American corporations. The answer to all these problems is really up to individual citizens. When I hear someone say, “I don’t vote…I hate politics and don’t pay attention to it,” I can only surmise that’s it’s this person’s fault we are in the shape we’re in now. Every problem we have is caused by individual citizens who just apathetically ignore the political system. It is your duty to get involved. It is also your duty to see through the lies and corruption and not play partisan politics. No one is above being called down on the average citizen’s floor – where the true power of our democracy is supposed to be. In my heart, I so yearn to get behind a great leader. Whoever gets elected, please don’t let us down.

Iraq Blogswarm

Today is a day I’ve been waiting for. It’s March 19 Iraq Blogswarm – all about why we shouldn’t be in this war. This is a chance for those who are against it to speak up and for our opposition to tell us we don’t understand the world. I will keep this article short and simple.

BlogSwarm

I’ll be the first to admit that Saddam Hussein was an evil man. I don’t like the horrible things he did. Perhaps the world is better without him. One thing I cannot stand is when someone in favor of war tells me that I don’t live in reality or understand danger, killing or the world. I also cannot stand those who say, “Yes, they found no weapons of mass destruction, but overall it is a good thing. It’s for the greater good.”

I’ve been told on numerous occasions by many people that I hammer the American government when I should be bashing Islamic fundamentalists and terrorists. I’m hammering all of them. Yes, there are terrorists. And then you have the corrupted American government. Put the two together and you have the petri dish to cultivate war.

I’m not partial to saying our government is the only corrupted one – most all governments are. They should have waited until they actually found the weapons before attacking. Is that too much to ask for? What if I preemptively killed my neighbors because I knew they were planning on killing me; however, I had no actual proof. I would be imprisoned and dealt the death penalty.

I am not allowed to take the law into my own hands. That’s the government’s job. They control everything. They answer to no one and make monumental decisions behind closed doors. The aren’t just above the law, they are the law. That’s what America is. America is not nor has ever been a democracy, it is a republic; completely based on a representative form of government.

I talked to several American soldiers I know and asked them to let me interview them for this blog. They of course declined in fear of repercussions. When I asked why they thought we were in Iraq, three said,”Because Osama blew up them buildings, that’s what really started it.” (their answers made no sense whatsoever).

There is no proof for any reasons. The conspiracy theorists are laughed at and the people who believe the news are simply believing nothing but public opinion and speculation. Public opinion governs the entire world and that is sad. Let’s use public opinion in better ways and not just be a bunch of noise.

My parents raised me to talk things through. They taught me the difference between good and bad. They taught me that violence is horrific and that killing people is wrong. These are basic morals most of us live with. Governments live by a different set of morals. They are supposed to make the hard decisions that shape and mold society. They have no easy task.

This such a more complex subject than just right and wrong. When dealing with evil and total destruction, things become opinionated and require covert operations. The truth is, none of us know what is really going on. Certainly, a military cannot reveal everything in the public arena – that would cause incredible problems.

I do believe the inflexible position of, “You cannot negotiate with terrorists” is not working. This is the thinking of stagnant minds. There are better ways to move forward. It is my hope that we as bloggers, can help bring intelligence and fresh ideas to the world. We are doing it everyday – that is exciting to me. We are growing in colossal ways and cannot be stopped. The power of blogging has just begun. I am proud to be one of them.

Yes, war is horrible and humankind should be above it. We can only work towards a better world – all of us. This Iraq Blogswarm is about awareness, keeping the issue alive and never letting us forget why humanity can do better – much better.

Peace and love to the world

Confessions of a Politically Confused Average American

As an American, not only am I politically confused, I am disgusted. There is a massively deep division between democrats and republicans and within the parties themselves. This upcoming election is not “fun” to watch and is not making me feel patriotic. Does it make me unpatriotic or less American to question our leaders intentions?

It’s amazing how different people see politics depending on which state they live in, what country they’re from, education, religion and so forth. Since I’ve “come down” from my prescribed anti-depressants I feel like I said some things in my previous post The New World Order – Zeitgeist which were born of anger. I believe that I allowed emotions to cloud my judgment.

One thing I am certain of is that America is screwed up in so many ways. Classes are becoming more separate, education is at an all time low quality and yet, somehow, I’m supposed to vote for a candidate (and feel good about it). That’s a tall order no matter how you slice it.

In Regard to 9-11

The truth is, I don’t know what to believe. I’ve taken a hard look at the available evidence from both sides, and still – I am absolutely unsure of anything. That is so sad. What a heavy burden for any of us to endure.

While my brain was adjusting to taking no medications, I was swept up in conspiracy theories about 9-11 (that’s enough to drive a person crazy…haha). The very idea that our own government could have had something to do with killing 3000 of it’s own citizens is of monumental concern. Is it true? Is it just conspiracy theory nonsense? Is it partially true? This is the problem, I just don’t know.

If the Bush administration had been much more forthcoming and open in it’s investigation, much of this could have been prevented. All I can say is that these people look so suspicious! It’s enough to drive people mad. I’m mad about it, aren’t you? I do feel much calmer now and that is such a huge relief.

The very thought of not knowing is just as bad as the theories all being true in many respects. Presidential candidate Ron Paul puts the idea of the “New World Order” and “The North American Union” in perspective for me. It’s not really a shadowy group of nefarious people plotting secretly to rule the world, it’s a matter of differing political beliefs. One group believes in globalism, and the other believes in national sovereignty (speaking very broadly).

Here’s a video of Ron Paul explaining the North American Union:
[wp_youtube]sOZIGPUPQVc[/wp_youtube]

One World Government?

The idea of a one world government is not a new one. From an idealistic standpoint, it offers many benefits such as having no wars and borderless nations – all of us joining as one people under one rule. This sounds good? I used to think it did until I began educating myself, looking at all sides. Then again, I have no idea what I’m talking about.

With a one world government, there will be one authority with no real way to assure there is no corruption. Corruption will always exist as it is a reflection of humankind’s imperfect laws. Having many countries under separate rule helps keep corruption at a minimum (or does it?).

Of course, I am certainly no expert in any of these areas, and perhaps I should keep my opinions to myself. I will tell you that I am against the idea of war and very much against the death penalty. I don’t want to cause problems to get worse and write things that support the wrong people. I just want world peace…what an idealistic fantasy.

Final Word

I am not turning this into a political blog…haha! Many readers come here, see a political article and are automatically uninterested. Hey, I understand! Politics suck! Most people blog so they can get away from all this, not to read more of it! If you see me write memes and stress free articles coming up, I hope you understand – I need a break. I think I’ll spend the next few days reading and commenting on other blogs, I finally feel up to it.

Today, I will eat an entire box of chocolate doughnuts and wash it down with ice-cold rootbeer (as you know, they are both filled with mind control substances completely designed to destroy my civil liberties).

So I confess, I am like so many of you…politically confused and absolutely fed up with all of it.

Fighting Abuse: A Tribute To The Late Nurin Jazlin (1999 to 2007)

Please take the time to read this most important article.

In our times of darkness, children are the ones who will brighten us up. No matter what ordeals we have to endure in our daily lives, we know that we can overcome them the moment we set eyes on children. Their innocence and purity in them will always give us a sense of peacefulness and calm that is beyond words. And it goes without saying that life would be meaningless without seeing them smile, hearing them laugh and cry, and feeling their small and flawlessly gentle hands that want to reach out to us.

Yet, there are some who show no empathy and sensitivity towards these beautiful souls. Worse still, they would dunk themselves into physical violence and cruelty towards the children without even thinking twice. Such acts can deem someone to be worse than an animal, because even an animal has compassion and love for its young.

What is going on with this world? Why must such horrid acts be carried out? Why do these people ever exist in this world?

Please take this time to read this special message from us, and show your utmost support and sympathy towards the family of the late Nurin Jazlin, who passed away tragically and brutally at the age of only eight. Little Nurin Jazlin’s body was discovered in a gym bag on 17th September, one month after she was abducted. Upon the discovery, she was seen to be in the most horrifying state ever. Her hair was short and curled up, when it was originally straight and long. Her body was pale and badly bruised from head to toe, and there were traces of foreign objects like brinjal and cucumber found in the virginal area of her body.

Parents of the deceased took a long time to acknowledge her death, but eventually did after all the thorough DNA tests had been carried out by the forensics department. Her body was finally buried on 21st September. Her father, Jazimin Abdul Jalil, had expressed his sorrow towards this tragedy, stating that whoever who caused her death was not a human being, but rather, an animal.

This was the result of an outrage of modesty (See Picture On The Right) caused by a man of age between 35 and 40, who was thought to be someone who enjoyed torturing people, particularly children. Along with him was a 23-year-old lady, who was apparently his partner in crime. The lady had been found and called for questioning by the Malaysian authorities, whereas the man has yet to be found. Hence, we are urging all of you here to play your part in finding this serial killer cum sexual offender and ensuring that justice is served to the deceased and her family.

If you know of the culprits’ whereabouts, keep us informed immediately, or directly inform her uncle, Jasni Abdul Jalil, via his blog, which he had specially created as a form of dedication to her.
Over the years, we have heard of children’s lives being taken away due to the evil doings of heartless adults. Nurin’s death was one of the most gruesome and tragic deaths that made many of us shocked, despaired and furious. Do you want more children to die in the hands of these sadistic people? Do you still wish to hear such saddening news of child abuse? Then let us do our part right away! Together we can make this world a better place for the little ones. Let us all join hand in hand and put a stop to such cruelty towards them once and for all! Fight against child abuse today. We have created a logo to show our support towards the fight against child abuse.
